Shopping CartNibelungJ: One last piece of hint you forgot to mention is that most of these items shown are part of an outfit, which means you can store the whole set using only one mirror slot.
cyberocelot1325: i use the frontier ribbon for 90% of my glams even on my male viera
johnspeight3264: NGL. You should definitely make a dedicated channel of just FFXIV fashion you are definitely good at this. Like a glamor consultant.
MMM172310: I remember when the Dalmascan set was S tier glam! still love the top and shoes
The wintertide set was used as an example of glam updates to come in 8.0 We will be able to toggle off some features on glams similar to /visor They demonstrated the scarf on the wintertide top toggling off. Also the flower on the Summertide dress will be able to modify.
merlesythia: Amazing video idea keep up the good work!!
gogglebee: Thank you for making this video, it's very informative and allows newer players like me the chance to make some nice looking glams without breaking the bank. I was able to find Thavnairian Tights for 50k today which I was super happy about!
darksaberx2261: Definitely appreciate the inclusion of the scientist outfit, I always enjoy your glam spotlights
hxfiz95_: Just made a new char and was wondering what to fill my dresser with, the timing is amazing. Thank you!!
grovemaw: awesome video! c: as a fellow glam obsessed xiv player I really enjoyed this style of video and would love to maybe see more in the future. definitely hopping on grabbing the rest of the thavnairian bolero set I didn't realize the top and gloves were so cute!
Strider_Shinryu: Great video, and kudos for doing all of the legwork! One of the big takeaways from this is actually that if you don't have a ton of Gil on hand the moment you see something you like, you can often just hold out for a while. Many of these items actually cost into the millions when they first became available and now, as shown, they're (well) under 100K a piece. Be wary, though, that the upcoming clothing detail toggles in 8.0 may spike the market on some of pieces so if you can buy them now it may better to pick them up sooner than later. We've already seen how the toggles will make the Summertide sets shown here a lot less "Time to go to the Prom!" so they could be pretty transformative for many pieces you might be on the fence about
Speaking of that, that could be a fun video idea. What glams you hope get the toggle treatment (and in what ways) to make them into something you'd actually want to use? lol
0Fyrebrand0: That Frontier dress has been a staple of mine for years. I think it might be the "official" glam of my miqo'te.
KainCortez-t4x: Love u ur videos teach me so much all the prices of these already going up LOL
mizark3: Thanks for showing M and F base models for the outfits whenever possible! It's good to know what some look like and which are genderlocked, since they haven't universalized everything yet.
csrjjsmp: Aether is like the outlet mall of eorzea?
senpuus6586: For the neon streetwear (Glam 9) which gloves/top are used on for the female au ra?
lomzogaming3631: YAS
belxander293: Very nice video!
Just really too bad we can't dye the straps around the legs of the Thavnairian Tights!! I don't understand why the decided to split the color like that...
For the sandals, we can dye the metal part with a color and the straps with another color, but not for the tights... It changes only the metal part or the panties if I remember correctly.
To me the metal part should have been tied to the panties, sharing the same color, and for the color number 2, the straps around the legs, to match with the straps around the feet of the sandals!! Especially because most of the time we don't see the panties anyway, we don't care (or it could just be the same color of the metal part, it's not very important)
This choice makes no sense, it's so stupid... and frustrating.
userphilman: Aaaaaaand just like that i'm 1 free fantasia and 250k down hahaha
steelegriffiths8650: Thanks for the video, which must have taken a lot of research.
Any chance of one with the best glams for female Hrothgars? I couldn't bear to see my Mi'qote tanking anymore and switched her to a tougher full-on tiger girl with the asymmetrical side-braided long blonde hair. I just find it difficult to figure out sets that complement the physique, whether for femininity or a hardcore fighter look.
Of course, you don't run a femroth, so it may not be of much interest or be a bit too niche to pull in a large audience - so no stress :)
Anyway - love your work and thank you for the beautiful voice!
RijackiTorment: The video is a great reminder of the variety of glams available in the game without paying real money in the online store. It's amazing how much dying can change the look of something. I do wish more items had 2 dye channels and am glad for those that do. Sometimes I wish we had 3rd and 4th dye channels on some items.
lunarrevel8754: Excellent video, thanks!
ShaiYoutubeAccount: Interesting video, thanks :) Im currently in hw and havent really bought anything from the mb yet, aside of some thavnairian onions. Most mb items arent really my taste, cause they seem to be "less fantasy"? if that makes sense? my current strategy is for the most part just spamming certain dungeons, if they have a pretty set coming from it. But Ive seen 2 or 3 examples here I could use to mix/match it. thanks for the idea :D
Jakieeegg: Wait this is actually such an informative video for me because I've seen a lot of these glams everywhere and I want them but I just don't even know where they come from but if they are a pretty fair price on the market board then....I guess it's time to go glam shopping!!
Kottery: I use the Frontier Ribbon and Salon Server Skirt so much. They're soooooooooooooo good. The Expeditioner's Pantalettes are perfect for a casual JRPG adventurer aesthetic.
This is probably beyond the purview of this video as it's not a MB item, but the Ishgardian Thighboots are a great option for a tall boot and easy to acquire (small amount of MGP from Golden Saucer). I use it less for casualwear and more alongside combat gear glams. I like it far far far more than the 2B boots that as it doesn't squish your legs into a pencil while serving a similar sort of stylistic purpose. For those in Dawntrail, the Neo Kingdom Boots of Aiming (35 Sacks of Nuts) make a nice general-use combat/adventurer boot as well. Plus it has the bonus of being new gear so higher definition. Really the entire Neo Kingdom set is a good place to go for cool combat gear, particularly the Fending set.
Back to MB, if you want glasses you can probably find just about any glasses item for relatively cheap since most people would prefer to just use the Facewear option instead nowadays. I can't recall how much the facewear options were, but the headgear version of glasses should all be well below 100k gil.
jmh8817: I'm glad you shouted out the white coat gang this time. Though now I fear I'm going to look slightly less unique now that the truth is out there you can be a hot scientist/doctor in this game.
tinreaper5275: "can travel to other data centers" cries in materia
TNobody0214: Very informative video!
I hope in a follow up you cover some created gear pieces since we now have the unlocked glamour system. It feels pretty restricted to only consider the lvl 1 sets
