kazwyrm: The optimal way to play ff14 is to play your way, there is very little jobs that can't clear, if your at min ilvl, you should be able to clear still but it will take slightly longer (if you gear your main through MSQ then it should be up to date regardless). The only optimisation that is a bonus to stats is having 1 tank, 1 healer, 1 melee, 1 range and 1 mage. regular combat wont need it but it is only required for some extremes or higher. other then that play your way

pointlessmike: What if opti was the fun though... not job/comp choices, but just skill expression. To me there's nothing fun about taking the easiest route and turning your brain off

filthycasualgaming9715: The thing is though, if you are going to do savage/ultimates you have to learn how to play your job, rotation etc or you are deadweight on trying to make dps checks
