Shopping CartTricky_T_Raptor: We need cross-data-center Party Finder/Duty Finder and we need it NOW
ckellingc: Dynamis life is rough. My friends are here, we've been in an FC for years now and I can't imagine this game without them. But on the flip side, it's hard to buy things on MB, queue times are unreasonable and outright insane at times, and the players are genuinely nice and fun.
Necrofitz: I started the game a few days before 6.2. I ended up on Primal because the game auto suggested it and I had no reason to doubt it. Positives are obviously that it's an active DC, duty finder is a non issue, and Frontlines is so stupidly active it practically has to be general dead hours for a queue not to pop within five minutes.
But that said, PF is an experience. I have waited over an hour to get a complete EX4 farm party just in the past few months where I was the only listing for it, while even when it's active, the raid listings are a fraction of what I see from Aether screenshots at almost any time of the day. The disparity is only more pronounced outside of peak hours. Although I make it a point to discourage the "go to Aether" rhetoric when I see it, the problem is way too big at this point to be corrected by the players alone.
I sincerely hope Yoshi P and the team are taking the PF issues seriously because the long term health of the game is increasingly dependent on making the system significantly better than it is now.
Moonfirev40: dynamis does have a culture. its challenge runs. i keep finding more players challenge running on dynamis.
wingedcatgirl: It's inherent in the system. Any solution that begins with "people should just" is doomed. People will not just - not even if they want to! When I was still subbed I tried to stay on Dynamis to do stuff as much as I could, but I just can't wait in queue for hours
k97-bb: As someone in the EU on the non-raiding DC, Chaos, I'm glad to hear more ppl are talking about this issue.
LastGreatDen: I remember with DT's launch, when they locked down DC Travel, every roulette would still pop, no problem. Instant they opened it back up? Exact same ghost town. Hearing rumblings in the last live letter that something might be done to adjust all this has me real hopeful.
MaeveGra: It is a shame that Dynamis was killed before it could thrive. It truly has a unique feel that the other DCs don't have. Hopefully, in 8.0, if they add Cross-DC party finder, my hope is that people don't migrate away even with no reason to do it.
Also RIP primal raiding, I will always miss you.
Ginger_Haku: I was apart of the problem too. I left from Primal with my fc at the time for housing but after awhile i started to playing on Aether with a alt/ main. Once i both lost my personal and fc house on Dynamis i made my move to Aether when Aether was open.
RngCheese: I miss the primal dc raiding scene. It was one of the best for ultimates (so i've heard, I didn't get to participate here) but primal always came up and stuck with some weird strats that made it unique. Like whatever day 1 strat caught on just never disappeared lmao. Now everywhere is just aether strats.
cooperdooper8245: I love dynamis because its the only place where crystal tower feels fun cus everybody be dying in dyamis for some reason. Like i actually have to think about the game and i like that.
wordybirdy-z6x: I am a Crystal player, but sometimes I like going over to Dynamis to do a few rounds of mentor roulette to help out a bit. I know it won't really make a difference because the current system in place won't allow the datacenter to sustain its players, but I try. I also go to OCE to do the same. Having a roulette that can access all duties (aside from savage and ultimate) is super nice for smaller communities. I am crossing my fingers hoping whatever the developers do to help mend this issue will get to the bottom of it. DC travel, despite how positive people speak on it, is still a half baked system that needs better updates. I want the whole community to win. Not just Aether lol.
MCG55SS: to fix Dynamis would only help if SE actually put more restrictions on DC travel or sadly reverted it. What is sad is during events you can see Dyanmis has a sustainable population because when it forces people to come back to Dynamis you can see from the insane population boom during the events (like moogle events as example). I am one of those who try their best to stay on Dyanmis 100% for everything but doesn't happen always as i can only do so much. To be honest the only way to fix this would be kill DC travel completely but this is like the "modding" problem with people using mods "cheating in raids" SE won't make changes like WoW did because it might upset some players and they take 0 risk approach. I mean i hate to tell them no matter what they do some players will like the changes some won't they have to get over that its like they relic weapon, people complained last expansion the weapons was too easy to get and people complain this expansion that its gated behind these task. They can never make EVERYONE happy. God i wish they would take risk and change dungeons to be more interesting or make Criterion rewards more fun because my FC just got everyone through advanced variant and will be working on criterion soon together. its hard but its fun.
JustAChristianMan: Hello! God bless you for this video. When I use to play Final Fantasy XIV I always thought Dynamis wasn't going to survive too long. It was only useful for the level boost up until level 80 or 90 in my humble opinion. Dynamis truly had no chance of survival since Aether was the grand prize of FFXIV. SE also didn't do enough to promote Dynamis. It's such a shame really. The only way real for other data centers to grow is to completely kill off the Aether data center for good. That is a extreme statement to say I will admit but I don't see any other ways really.
red5robb1: ive said it before elsewhere and i shall say it again. the devs need to either
A: cross data center PF/DF
or the more controversial
B: have ZERO or LIMITED rewards when doing content on other DCs other than your home one.
with how much people LOOOOOVE their reward, it will entice people to play in their home DC.
now im not saying clearing a new fight wont be considered a clear if doing it on another DC, but the rewards from the chests will be limited (maybe a chest for travellers with only 1 item in it that everyone can roll on) or not allowed to roll at all
Magnarmis: There needs to be an incentive for queueing on low population servers. The road to 90 buff should also be disabled when you hop servers.
cirinaharvey1466: Dynamis resident here, Yes life is tough and i admit to hopping over to Levi to get people to run pvp and raids with, I have tried to wait around for hours but with my work schedule its impossible and i refuse to leave as my FC and friends are all on here.
SStyle5: Been on Hyperion since ARR launch. Needless to say it was depressing how Cross DC destroyed my community.
x86-Kait: I really do think that DC travel was the correct option. I have friends based on all of the NA DCs and only have 1 alt on aether and genuinely hate maintaining 2 characters. Dynamis is very dead, and I am very much part of the problem by going elsewhere to do things like raiding. While I'm glad I can do that for my statics for instance because I like my friends on all DCs and like to visit, but being in a situation where I basically have to go anywhere but my home DC of Dynamis to do basically anything kinda sucks
ruka9700: Sipping my fine wine as a jenova native
LiracyonLeague: Uh buddy. Not that many people raid anyway. Crystal is where everyone goes.
RiogaRivera: Dynamis was a mistake same as oceania data center
bibi24: lol 9:30 brought a tear to my eyes, well said
jonny1494: Primal is looking like crystal in its busiest days
DavidH_Scott: One incentive idea that I've had my mind on is to also give people visiting preferred worlds the road to 90 buff that's currently just for people living there, to encourage some portion of players to travel to run some content while levelling, or at least something similar to that. Maybe like a 30% buff to gil earned from roulettes regardless whether you live there or are visiting? idk
JamesKorcc: I remember before I quit I fell asleep in frontline queue and I woke up, went to work and came back and saw I was still in queue for like 18 hours, it never popped. I probably won't come back for 8.0 but they really should open cross data center travel/duty finder/party finder/parties and include some sort of penalty if you aren't on your home server like you can't receive items/exp/roll on drops to incentivize people to go back to their home world and enter the content that way. That way you can still partake in the content if you wish but you cant get anything unless you're participating from your home world
ven4673: i resonate with this video, originally I was on Chaos DC but unfortunately its now a dead/casual DC and its very difficult to do content in there especially out of peak hours. So I moved to Aether, and while it is certainly much faster and more pfs, its not been a great experience as I find it difficult to socialize with people outside of raids and even in raids I feel that people are waay more toxic than I ever encountered back in Chaos or even Light. It actually feels like Im playing WoW again
