from what I've learned through others, one of the big things limiting hats was apparently on other races, your hair on your head is treated as two objects, and for hats like they show in the slide, on other races, the hat removes the top part of your hair from displaying while keeping the lower hair. But since for rabbits and big cats, the hair is one object, this wasn't possible. This is why of the hats that DO work on the races currently they either remove the hair entirely, like with some of the hoods or the space helmet, or the don't touch the hair at all, like crowns and tiaras.

showing that they addressed this means a huge number of previously unsupported hats should now finally be possible for us to wear

also possibly the option to turn off ears might have a lot to do with say, maybe you have viera with lop-ears and want to wear the Matoya hat, but your ears clip through the brim of the hat. Rather than just not have the hat work based on ear shape, they give the player the choice to live with the clipping, or turn off their ears when wearing that hat specifically. Definitely a good compromise here

jenevere: Am I the only ulti raider excited that the next ult is .5 instead of .3? I feel like after DSR into TOP, a change of pace this expansion would be nice. We’ve gotten a lot of high end content already this expansion. I’m interested to see what they mean by a harder version of the deep dungeon boss. Also thank god for the 48 queue option of OC. That’s one less headache to worry about.

SubduedRadical: Not only that, hardcore players have gotten something in literally every patch of late. Overall, casual content is harder in DT, which was for them, not for casual players. Both Savage tiers have been considered fun. FRU was for them. Chaotic was for them. Forked Tower is for them. Cosmic Exploration has been for hardcore crafters. Like, hardcore players have been eating GOOD this expansion. I don't even want to hear them complain they aren't getting content when casual players got nothing until OC, which gave Forked Tower to the hardcores ANYway!

richardwicker8456: I think light grinding would make the most sense for the next relic step; the next step will probably be adding the glow effect to our relic weapons so I could see us having to gather "light" for this purpose. We'll probably be getting another zodiac/anima glass too to track how much "light" we've gathered.
