darkedraygoon: to be fair, there is a lot amount of stuff that happends in ARR that pays off in all the expansion including endwalker

TheGphillip17: You’re absolutely right, ARR is so foundational, by there is soooooo much more. I was recently playing through the story again and something they set up in HW didn’t come to fruition until ShB and I had completely forgotten about. Love that you’re taking time to really dive in :)

zacharybenson2911: well its more ARR they were unsure if the game would make it after the change in direction with the re-releases from the 2010 and 2013 versions. As they went from the generic adventurer story to a hero (warrior of light) arc you can see this with the release trailers for ARR vs Heavensward. So the story was more bogged down as they sorted between the old and new directions having a slower pace in ARR.
