Shopping CartTheUnrelenting: This is the Zepla I remember. [FIRST BTW!!!]
ruinedmirage9722: Hilarious.
Game refuses to tell you about stack markers, knockback attacks, and eyeball, but make sure to do Hall of the Novice?
Hall of the Novice is where you learn about stack markers, knockback attacks, and the eyeball. You literally get that ring from learning about dodging those exact attacks.
Cpt_Risu: Assert dominance on that tank lol Every fisher knows the Chocobo is for bait storage.
AntiBellumIII: The FFXIV puns are killing me
MirinkaiserVODs: I appreciated the Josh Strife Hayes callout.
SgtSparkleBuns: Yeah pulling off an epic healer lb3 is one of the greatest feelings in gaming.
evandavis5223: The 2nd round of Hall of the Novice training is actually at 49, and is available right before Castrum Meridianum.
Loewemon25: Should also point out those rings as well as other xp boosting gesr like the aetheryte or menphina earrings that grant xp buffs under a certain level work if you are synced down. So even if your at level 99 trying to squeeze that last little bit of xp to get your classes maxed both those rings and an earring in a sub 30 dungeon will all give you bonus xp
jameshopwood: Ngl, I’ve been playing game since EW came out and I’ve eaten food minimally. UNTIL I got into max level crafting now I can’t stop eating! Also I started archer and I’m feeling the grind from level 1 so rings maybe a good idea lol
n00exec: Recomendation n°1... Never trust a Mentor Crown just for the Crown!
gizmobuddy805: ........... I made it most of the way through heavensward before realizing I needed to get my BRD soul stone...... I've been playing since 2.0 beta.
eggs5019: "NOT ON MY WATCH SHSHSHSHHSHSHSHSHSSHSHSHSH" XD (this is trainergary btw hi zep thanks for the video!)
Sommion: 1:10 oh god...no....
DoomsdaySundial: I've been playing this game since Stormblood...I didn't know about the Tactical Ring. Thanks!
3ASY355: I died.
SeagraveGaming: Looking forward to the 2026 Blue Quest guide. I wanted to watch a video about that but yours is 4 years old
LivvieLynn: Would recommend completing The Vault the first time with a good friends for the best experience.
m0rg_b0ak3: Hahaa ty Zepla!
MrSpiderspider12: Additional note about aether currents
You don't need to drop everything and mash that compass and go search all the aether currents
Why?
Because where is main scenario quest there are also aether currents, and why I mean is usually on the path from point A to point B of every MSQ you are bound to see or be in the proximity of an aether current and you should use the compass occasionally when you autorun on your mount going to point B on quest especially in places you noticed you never been there before
rogersanchez868: OOOH that video of blue quest will be awesome Zepla, we need it, returning player here, that is why we love you.
prenti1211: 2:56 - Buying leveling gear from the market board isn't a 'scam' per say. If you're buying NQ items from it, yes. 95% scam because you can buy most of that stuff from a vendor and usually for less. However, sometimes you can get that same gear for a little bit cheaper on the market board too. Not all the time, not even most of the time, but sometimes. When you're looking at gear, you can tell if it's sold from a vendor because it will list a "Shop Selling Price" in its tooltip window. It will also say how much vendors sell it for. If it's up on the market board for higher than that number, then it's a scam. If it's up for 10% less than vendor price or even lower, then it's a good deal. Reason I say 10% less or lower is to account for market board fees.
However, many players will also sell their quest rewards on there too, and those tend to be HQ (High Quality) rather than Normal. Those aren't a scam per say because they have better stats than the NQ version, and there's only so many to go around. They're just valued at what people are willing to buy it for. If you see a HQ item at or near the NQ versions vendor price, though, that's a pretty good steal! Do you NEED HQ gear to level? Nah, not really, but it will allow you to skip the next couple of item levels, and it can save you some money. Generally, I would say if a HQ it's at or around 20-30% markup compared to the vendor price of its NQ counterpart, it's a pretty good deal, and you should probably grab.
That being said, like Zepla says, you don't need to be buying gear at all. There are so many ways to get gear without buying it off the market board, like throw quests, and through dungeons. Personally I like to gear up through dungeons. It's a little better than even HQ white gear, so not only will it save you a ton of money, but you can turn around and sell the HQ gear you don't need to make some money too.
- This. 100%! 1000%! And not just to get the gear you get from it, though the ring you get at the end is AMAZING for helping you level faster. However, unless you're already VERY familiar with FFXIV group dungeoning dynamics, actually pay attention to what the trainer is telling/showing you. I can't tell you how many people skip this, then don't know what they're doing in dungeons, especially tanks. As a veteran player, though, I had no idea there's a lvl 60 version of the ring! Good to know!
sakuraonisan2673: Make a home point in an aether crystal. That way when you accidentally touch that red marked cool looking enemy you can appear close to where you got smashed into oblivion.
Zinkhal1: 7:44 little note for the xp buffs from any gear ... getting scaled down counts .. if you are lvl 94 and you would go into a lvl 15 duty and put on the rings you will get the xp bonus .. not like it would matter at that point ... but it works the same for like the earrings from every expansions which can be used way longer also can just be helpful if you play old content easy example would be the endwalker variant dungeons if you have the earrings from preordering dawntrail ... also pretty sure to say the next addon will most likely bring the same but then till lvl 100
kenny42069: Rezzing the entire raid with LB3 feels amazing, it's very rare but it's what every healer lives for, the moment everyone else dies :)
nomaddragon7088: Also, another way to know if someone is selling gear from an NPC on the Marketboard is mousing over the gear. If you see a Shop Selling price that means that there is an NPC somewhere that sells it. A nice hint I learned way too late.
markup6394: 7:43 --- Huh, I actually forgot about that one...
Here's another one: "watch JoCat's role guides" - especially the tank one XD
Also, Blue quests: its good to check them at least out. When they are just other job quests, that you havent unlocked yet, ignore them for now - but many other blue quests actually unlock dungeons, raid and, as I was just reminded on an alt, the precursor for beast tribe rep grinds. AND flying! For flying in zones from HW onward, you not only have to finish certain MSQ quests but also some blue ones.
FuyuYuki92: Not too long ago, I had a sprout sage in A12N who used sage LB in the exact moment we would have needed the tank LB. I asked them why they did that and they said "missclick". Personally I believe they had no clue the LB button is shared, though xD
