ghostplanetstudios: FFXIV has, without a single doubt, the best story Final Fantasy has told in the last 20 years, and when you pick that apart you realize that isn't even that much to brag about, but it's true. Without XIV an entire generation, in Japan if nowhere else, wouldn't even associate FF with having great stories, because almost all of the ones that came out in their lifetime were pretty damn bad. The 13 era lasted way longer than people think, 15 took forever and was like half a completed game, and 16 is crazy polarizing. The only constant in the background of all of that was FFXIV. Which is why Emet Selch is the highest rated villain in all of Final Fanasty according to Japan's national poll. Not only that, he was the 5th most popular character in the entire franchise, and he features prominently in Shadowbringers and Endwalkers, 2 of the best stories Final Fantasy has ever told, ever, period, and we can unpack that too. My favorite is 4, and I would never say its story is as deep or as moving as XIVs. Doesn't take away from 4, just the truth, and its the truth for a lot of other Final Fantasies too. Its got the best story in MMOs by a wide mile, its not even close there, but its also got one of the best stories games have had in a while. We get lots of games these days but not all of them stories worth getting to the end of. XIV does for sure. Its not as popular as it is (people bought real life billboards for a beach party on one server) for no reason

If you make a video titled "Is FFXIV Worth Playing in 2026" I expected you to go over and present what this game has to offer, Raiding, Glamour, the MSQ, Crafting, Gathering, Mounts, Minions, Triple Triad Cards, Relic Weapons, Exploratory Zones, Dungeons, Big Fishing, Relic Tools, and all the stories linked to most of the aforementioned.
