klimkirichenok6528: I honestly believe ff14 community doesn't take criticism well
smudgedragon: Disagreeing is okay - trolling/gatekeeping over an opinion is not. I am so sorry you had to deal with that. hugs
25xxfrostxx: A player that picks up FF14 on or after 8.0 will probably have a good experience with Dawntrail. They might not like the story but at that point the expansion will be feature complete. Being here in the moment, though, it's terrible. 4.5 months between patches is way too long and it's made worse by the fact that they back loaded the content in the patch cycle.
SubduedRadical: I'm 11 seconds in and already agree. Seriously. I've been saying this since like 5.1, it just got way worse with EW not introducing a new Eureka so that when DT came around, 7.1 didn't have any fallback content for people to bide their time with. Anyway, here's your LIKE, good sir, and back to watching the rest of the video! :D
ZombieWolfe: i like the game too, but i see that the game prefers its high end raiders more than casual players, which is why i left. i left and havent came back since. the story sucked and there isnt anything to do, i dont want another bozjan. i want something new and fun
Eta_Hoyimi: "I don't want to run crystal tower and longstop for the 1000th time in 5000 hours" shouldn't be considered being entitled, I love the game but caring about something means wanting it to do well and being honest about the state of it. I'm not going anywhere but that doesn't mean I'm the norm and other people will leave over it.
nithussiva2922: Used to love this game to death, it being my #1 game of all time. Haven't been subbed for about 3 months now for the first time in 10 years of playing. Hate the game in its current state and hate how the devs and Yoshi P won't do anything about it, a 4 month patch cycle is diabolical. My biggest complain has to be that there is legit nothing to do ingame.
thanganbabp5570: i think if speedrunning like m became the main content for ffxiv i would never come back.
arthamosssg: You do NOT.... and I repeat DO NOT want a mythic plus system in 14. It is by far one of the most toxic things in wow and the reason why I quit WoW retail. If they add a mythic system in 14 they do NEED TO NOT add a depletion to it. As someone who spent the last 4 expansions (Legion to Dragonflight) pushing 20 keys, take it from me when I say the 14 community does not want a M system. Anyone who says they do has not done them. It breeds such a bad community. People will join and if there is a HINT of a mishap they will just leave screwing over your key. I had a key that went from a 22 down to a 7 due to this. Always the tank or healer. Mostly tanks. Again they would have to remove the depletion mechanic but then again it will still breed that wow toxicity. Trust me. It sounds like a good and cool concept but it is not.
The_Catman: Letting WoW players in was the biggest mistake.
In just the smallest of times they polluted the diacourse around the game.
At least this one is sincere "I want WoW systems in FF14"
Yes, you.
Go back to WoW
ChannelRaznoff: I got a lot of crap for saying that modern gacha games do a better job of updating their games for free (unless you're an idiot) on a bi-monthly schedule. I was told that it doesn't matter how good the content is, it's predatory. I think the FFXIV sub fee and housing system are fairly predatory themselves. You're paying $13-$15 a month even when you don't get anything substantial that's new for 4-5 months at a time. It's just the same exact grinds over and over.
The housing system is some of the worst fomo I've ever seen. It's to the point that multiple friends have not played in around a year, but still sub just to keep their houses for when they eventually return. Then you have the cash shop. The game has become more monetized over the years and it feels like we get less content at a slower pace. I know YoshiP wanted to take inspiration from WoW, but he probably could have skipped over their monetization systems. Hopefully FFXIV never gets the XIV token lol.
sadmiqoxiv: Honestly why does every single video have to be "Im a victim, everyone was attacking me".
People agree with you, you don't need to constantly bring up the victim card on every single subject to get your point across.
kungfuvoodoo9889: The problem with frontloading 7.1 with both the new ultimate as well as the chaotic raid isn't just that there's not enough new content for the average/casual/midcore player. The problem is also that when we finally do get the other patches with the more casual content, the only content for hardcore players at that point will just be the second and final savage tiers, so I feel like for the rest of the expansion we'll start hearing complaints from them that there isn't anything more engaging for them besides savage until the next expansion.
SE really should have started off 7.1 with the casual/midcore content while spreading out the release of harder content, such as releasing the chaotic raid in 7.2 and the ultimate in 7.4 or 7.5. That way the average players are given stuff to do sooner while the hardcore players only have a little bit of waiting but they get their content in a much more steady flow.
akurei123: Sry Cole but no D: I agree with everything you say, always. But keep those frigging M away from me! M is literally the most toxic content in WoW and far far too hard. They also wouldn't work, 14 is like in slow motion compared to wow and has no flavour or interesting skills which takes away all of the skill and fun (whenever someone isn't leaving after a single wipe or calling you the worst gamerword in the book). Not sure if they improved them but failing a duty 20 minutes in because of one mistake.. pls no D: Look i just woke up and this might not be the most thought-out comment but M is garbage content and they would be terrible in 14. I understand the need for repeatable content, I do but there must be another way
Belophen: when even the cesspool that is the FF reddit allows to be remotely negative about dawntrail that mean finally the emperor has no clothes, a few weeks ago my static finished the achievements we were aiming and inmediatly unsubbed, 7.2 better be good because at this point subbing is just a friend tax, and i really dont wanna think about all the subs that are being held hostage due to housing.
the new bozja better be really good because dawntrail was really dissapointing, fem hroth was a massive letdown quality wise and im not gonna repeat every criticism i've said about the story, the savage tier was good but it alone couldnt hold the dam.
moreapurva: Even if they do add something similar to Mythic, SE being SE, will add all the rewards in the highest difficulties and then put all the useless junk like materia, outdoor furnishings and other crap in all the previous difficulties. This game most of the time feels like a bad luck simulator where you hope for the item to drop in the chest and then pray that you win the roll against others. SE can't seem to understand the concept of a middle-ground. The content is usually either piss easy meant for casuals to spam ad nauseam or for high-end raiders with body-check mechanics. Doing my reclears week after week, I felt like I was being forced to play more like a bot and less like a human. You do the exact same rotation, solve exact same mechanics in exactly the same order. There is very little room for improvisations, last moment adjustments or decision making. Progging and clearing stuff is genuinely fun, but reclearing week after week farming 1 book at a time drains the fun out of it completely. In the end I just gave up, I thought why am I even bothering with BiS if its going to be replaced in a few months anyways.
Aoi-mirror: People need to realise that high end really is everything wrong with the game. High end players will always jump on you the moment you threaten their high end. But maybe no mistake, when some other better 'total dedication' challenge comes along, they will be gone, they will not look back to XIV, and the game will now be dead. It's fine to staff up to the high end, they are selfish, they don't care about the game they know they don't, they just want their game for them now. It's built into their approach to everything. You can see it in how they universally won't tolerate dead weight. Your aligned with their aims and able to help them on their terms, or your irrelevant. I also don't buy "the game needs ultimate". If you 'had' to relocate resources to casual, you'd get way better 'promotion' of the game than you are getting out of hard core.
Mitsu92: "We really need easily accessible content where you don't need to wait in a party finder, that gives people agency where they feel like they have something they can just sit down, enjoy and work towards." Couldn't have said it better myself.
jonathanayala12: I was also really close to skipping Dawntrail cutscenes but I definitely skipped most dialogue that included Wuk Lamat.
leonfurry: As a long time player since heavensward, I’ve always felt really engaged. when I got caught up to content before stormblood released, I was excited to finally do stuff on the same pace as others. I got more into extremes and slowly got into savage. But as the years went by, I released it’s basically the same formula and content release schedule no matter what expansion it is. Eureka and Bozja were my all time favorites to do. Endwalker relics felt like it was a break from regular relic grinds and a thank you for going into the story that far so a freebie is a win for me. But now, I’m finding myself playing less and less unless I want to just hang out with friends and work on PS5 trophies
darkmistress1980: - as a ex WoW player myhtic plus was the bane of my existence for having to get a 15 key locked away in BFA and then getting shafted by RNGesus cause of the secondary stats and this was when they didnt have reforging back in the game. i also like the simplicity of gearing in FFXIV. no proc based weaps or trinkets breaking things.
- FFXIV needs to become more alt friendly cause this game aint. allow us to mail stuff to our alts on the same server and that includes gil. allow our alts to use and move stuff around in our mains housing etc
- allow ALL cash shop stuff be account wide (including the fancy items you get in the OSTs/books etc). i would be willing to pay a tiny bit more to have one mount across all toons specially the ones from special events, same can be said for outfits but that would dry up all that extra money in the game right now......
nah the fanta addicts will keep the game afloat sarcasm off
AmbrisiosDutchAD: Oh yha, If you have no interest in hard core content, there is sod all for you to do, and If your a casual that wants gear that is current max IL but you don't like raiding, your shit outta luck, As someone who does raids and ultimate's I acknowledge this. gearing is miserable in 14, it dissuades experimenting with trying new jobs as well.
alystyn: I’m a player since HW. Endwalker started the content drought. I agreed with your first video! I’m sorry to hear you got hate for it.
I do want a reason to keep playing! Not a hard core raider. Yes I am someone who does the deep dungeons. Our group is still every week getting through orthos. Our complaint is that HoH was way more strategic, and Orthos seems SOOO RNG. Never thought I’d say that I miss HoH treasure rooms.
So many Orthos runs lost to RNG. Our latest “funny” one was me and the healer opening two silver chests that both exploded (which killed us both) and our tank stepping on a land mine and dying to it after that damage. Floor 73.
All we have now is Deep Dungeons.
elvangulley3210: Im sorry but i will never get the need you guys have for your games to force you to play and be your job
