Thats why we are getting bun hats, chat bubbles, $42 outfits, and predatory gacha while actual MMO content is ignored. This is the future of XIV, and Square is right. You want proof, look at the subreddit filled with posts praising all this. Look around the main cities in XIV and see all the $42 outfits running around. This is what the small, sad community that is leftover wants.This isn't a game anymore. It's devolved into what it's always been destined to be.

mr.mystere4999: When they say predatory, they're talking about how the game sells its premium currency in bundles that are just a little bit less than what the store is charging for.

An example of this is a mount that costs 20,000 crystals and the nearest amount of crystals you can buy are sold in bundles of 19,800 forcing you to buy another smaller bundle to make up that 200 crystal difference.

FFXIV Mobile is being made by a company owned by Tencent. Stuff like this is par for the course with those guys. There'd be gacha stuff there too if Square-Enix allowed them to.

MrJuancho2706: Im currently max out waiting for savage on FF14 mobile, i have spent 0 money on the game, the only grindy thing i saw is the Relic Weapon but it still a normal grind, not have to spend a dime, its a fun game tho.

The most stupid thing is that the glamour they sell on the cash shop is better thant the FF14 PC lmao (it has particules)

esko911: im not defending mobile monetization BUT, the game is kinda 100% free to raid, savage, EX, ultimates and pretty much everything. that kinds looks like "Crysta" to me just like how we can already do on XIV.

predatory is what FFXIV normal game is doing to us with HOUSING, that new 50 dollar Glamour thing and holding us hostage because our FC homes and personal homes ESPECALLY if you have a lot of people that own a room inside the FC house, you basically can not let your sub run out or you screwover other people in the FC.

eeedh26363: Im also mad about ffxiv current state BUT tbf mobile game is just all about glams and things like bonus exp. FFXIV has actually p2w for skipping MSQ and leveling jobs.
