tequilaselai: I'd recommend WHM for your healer because if you're not a fan of healing its the easiest to pick up and eventually you just become a Glare Mage

ImmaPandaRawr: In Shadowbringers at least one role quest is required for MSQ continuation. But if you want a full circle story, it is better to do all the role quest. There’s good beginner classes for each role, but I remember you saying you wanted to do Machinest, Gunbreaker, and Reaper which will fill 3 roles already. Just need to add a caster and healer. Summoner and Scholar level together, so if you level one it automatically levels the other so you get both a caster and healer easily without leveling 2 separate classes. Scholar is a bit more difficult to learn though.

untoldsstories4164: Huge tip, if you want to make things easier: pick up Arcanist in Limsa! Arcanist is the only class in ffxiv that levels two jobs at once (Scholar, a healer and Summoner, a dps). Just make sure to pick up BOTH crystals first before doing leveling for one or the other!

And of course, you ALSO get your Fairy (scholar) and your Carbuncle (summoner). Whats not to love about two of the most fun jobs to play in ffxiv?

CuoriRubati: First job I ever wanted to roll was Summoner, which by chance was the only class(arcanist) that leveled two jobs at once. When I hit level cap with Summoner, I also had a level capped healer with Scholar. Easiest role quests I could ever do, lol.

voodooapostle: Back in 2.0, it was actually required to level different classes. For instance: if you wanted to be a Paladin, you needed to level Gladiator to 30 and Conjurer to 15.

BananaMellor: 100% do it for the Shadowbringers role quests. SMN/SCH goes a long ways for this approach.

I also think there's no reason not to for the later ones, though I wouldn't spend my energy arguing with people who find fault with later role quests.

arzedeu: The role quests are really good. They expand/reveal topics that players come to enjoy. And the Master Role quests of each expansion are some of my favorites.

blackfrostfilms-dl8wo: I’m in post shadow bringers and they modify the post shadowbringers msq if you do them (I only did melee dps and only the melee dps quest giver was in msq)
