Shopping CartLordoziom: The whole expansion circle and nothing has changed for the better
GCarv0301: The thing is- it is great content and advanced variant could be a great way to prepare casuals for extremes, which is something that's been missing. It's a shame they are so frustratingly stingy with rewards so a lot of people won't do the content
katerinaquinn5482: I hate to say it but this is probably the worst expansion yet they don't care about the casual everyday players they only care about the Raiders
y5k8vb: The fact that they patted themselves on the back in the patch notes regarding the rewards being adjusted for this content really blows my mind.
solitonmedic: The game was the most fun for me back when I was still catching up to Shadowbringers
bellamango6708: it. cost. them. literally. nothing. to. make. these. changes. thats what fucking gets me!!! IT COSTS NOTHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THEY STILL WONT DO ANYTHING!!!!! SE does NOT understand intrinsic/extrinsic motivation at ALL
O.M-: Almost 6000 hours played (pretty much since 6.1), and i gotta say, Im very worried about XIV"s future right now, i don't want the game to die, and it's really depressing, seeing the game being treated with so much incompetence, carelessness and bad decisions over worse decisions
powergi3996: Yoshi-P is done. Nobody believes in him anymore. It's time to call it and make FF17 as the next MMO.
Nyuxiv: decided after OC release that this game is not for me anymore, unsubbed and let my medium and 2 small houses get demolished. I did come back for a few hours on the free login campaign to rush through msq, but during that time I realized that I missed nothing and that this game is dead to me.
MrHihihiji: I agree with what you're saying. I'm the worlds most casual no lifer, I've logged so many hours in this game for nearly 10 years, never really do high end content because honestly I'm just not confident in my skill to. That being said, it hardly ever feels like there's a reason to log on anymore. I was excited for 7.4, but their staggered release schedules, getting longer and longer overtime, the fact we're about to hit one of the longest droughts in between expansions ever seen, and the repeated slaps in the face by the dev team who seem to do anything but listen.. I might just give it up soon.
They have the audacity to say some things may take longer to come out when stuff is already at an alarming crawl, and they tell people to "treat the devs nicer", while I don't agree with people sending personal insults their way, they sell a product. When the product is not meeting basic standards anymore, it's enough.
The way they refuse to put any meaningful, lasting content in the game, the "just go play other games and come back later" sentiment that Yoshi puts out there, it's just too much now. He saved the game, and did a great job for years, but it's now BEEN years since he's done anything great and it's sad to see.
Rwmcnair: I miss my scholar/summoner so much.
Famitrack: Trying out wow a year ago has really changed my opinion on ff for the worse. And the past few months, I’ve haven’t had a reason to want to play ff outside of raiding and hanging out with friends.
Rn Midnight is making ff feel so so dated
Zoeila: i stopped working on relic because stats are boring. im a retired raider so i dont care about ilvl anymore. i retired from raiding because dps treat healers like shit. getting my beastmaster fix in WoW. proof it doesnt have to be limited
kouyaaro: Its kinda scary since you mentioned about your neighbour dissapearing, I just checked my house to stop the demolition, and my neighbour is gone, plot is empty and no house to jump on. Its pretty sad.
Highlandwhispers: Imagine telling a WoW hunter to play limited Beastmaster
ReyReyzzz: I'm starting to come to terms with the fact that FFXIV will never escape the shackles of stagnancy.
I sometimes watch update videos from Meoni (god bless him idk how he's been able to hold on for so many years), and all I see are extremely mundane, hollow updates where he rambles about something so minor like a new haircut or a new glam for like 6 to 7 minutes because there isn't much else to talk about in those "update" posts that get published to the lodestone every now and then.
loomingdeath1758: See allot of the problem stems from not just the developers but the player base. Allot of people were very ok with this. When you guys talked about how people were just being negative all the time. SE took your complicity and said thanks for agreeing with us. I'll be honest i dont really feel bad for the player base cause honestly this is what you wanted. Not all but you know who you are. People complaining about buttons, difficulty, overall accepting this baby level gameplay.... honestly take us back to when jobs actually made you think, made you go yeah i might not be able to play it, or I learned it and it feels great moments.
mattfletcher2270: It's worse than not being listened to, THEY ARE LYING TO US.
So now, when they say have learned lessons from Dawntrail & its failures I don't believe them.
And when they say are going to "rethink the game completely" in regards to the content cycle etc, I don't believe them.
And the next time they open their mouths, I won't believe them.
Trust gone.
SalemGreyFFXIV: Even as someone who primarily raids, and has admittedly been eating well in that regard, this expansion sucks absolute ass.
I feel bad for casuals who’ve had nothing to do for months. I feel bad for players who play for the story. I feel bad for players who only have a few hours a week to play. It just feels bad.
I’ve defended the dev team in the past, and I still believe the community has a tendency to overreact and overflow problems. But dawntrail has been an objective failure of an expansion and if they don’t get their shit together for 8.0 I think they’re going to see a massive, permanent dip in player count that they may not recover from.
Scarlett_Rem: i love how you first make a video of "wow this content patch is huge!! rofl lol" and then after release saying "they just dont listen", its not the first time they didnt listen, they dont listen since stormblood to be precise, why they dont listen? because ppls dont need good content and more items in the game except for glamour, they dont need to change the whole games gearing system for a small percentige that does savage and ultimates every patch, thats why they dont listen, the money still comes in from all the casuals who dont even know what a ex trial is.
N7-Vakarian: Sadly Dawntrail has been a eye opener its like the dev team just switched off
liyas5250: if you played 1 expansion, you played them all
IAmBatman369: Cole youre unhinged rn and I LOVE it!
We have been bamboozled on these new criterion and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
crosssquirrel4293: I kinda abandoned after doing Savage for the first time. I was on this game from the end of Heavensward until Dawntrail. I never ever did savage on patch time. Arcadion was the first one, and i feel so satisfied that i felt that if thing did not change for the better i could leave with no regrets… and that ended up happening :) It seems i made a sensible choice. :3 i decided to explore other games and genres.
Currently trying Arc Raiders, and No Man’s sky… how ironic that NMS was in a similar position and now is a good game.
eyrilonakestrysswyn3513: I wish FFXIV were better than it is, I truly do, because it was my first MMO and I played it for many years of my life -- but I canceled my sub about a year ago because I felt the game was becoming an insult to my fond memories of it (well, that and all my friends were also leaving left and right), and am currently playing Guild Wars 2.
trodune: Like, people can blame this that an the other thing, but at the end of the day we're under the tyranny of 'good enough'.
The stats are pointless but crit works, good enough.
The msq was had enough* cutscenes to make kojima blush and may as well been a vn, but the raids are flashy, good enough.
The player counts dwindleing, but half come back every other patch to raid for some reason, good enough.
ttabood7462: I love that image that says 'imagine if "peasants" had gear'. Imagine banging your head against the savage wall for gear with a score a few digits higher than what I can get by patiently doing leveling and msq roulettes. I'd struggle through difficult content for an appropriate reward. But not for a meager upgrade.
