FFXIV Predicting Arcadion Heavyweight SAVAGE Mechanics!

Paraguai123: What if M9s has a fourth crowd kill that is a soft enrage, and then the tanks get tankbusters so big they naturally just overlap and kills the party and thats the actual enrage.

finalsurvivor1: For M11, this bit from the Known Issues in the patch notes has been in the back of my head since it dropped:

"An issue with a voiced cutscene during AAC Heavyweight M3 (Savage) wherein a specific line of NPC dialogue erroneously plays twice in an overlapping fashion."

The fact that this is specifically Savage and it says cutscene makes me think that, even if there's no music for it, M11S might have a phase two. Yes, this could also apply to the intro and ending cutscenes, but I'm assuming the intro will be copy and pasted from Normal while the ending would only be changed if there was an entirely different second phase.

veexen810: Not going to be surprised if the "enrage" phase would work similar with how wicked thunder intermission goes, constant damage and heal check, maybe even slowly destroying the arena instead of just 80% room cleave where visual cues are far more important.

Amooseable: The AoE in M9N is baited based on facing direction, just is hard to tell since people are usually facing the boss. Either that, or I got very lucky with testing during day 1 runs lol.

Before getting further into the video, I wanted to put my thought I had. What if, for the first time since A12S, we don't get a P2 for M12? Instead, there is some puzzle element to neutralize the regeneration of the Lindwurm, and if you defeat him without said solution, he just regenerates to full and starts over. Obviously the expectation is a P2 phase, and likely a door boss at that, but it's only the expectation because that has become the standard. With the changes they've been making to encounter design, this is definitely one of the possible fights that they could look to break that trend. I wouldn't put money on it, but I also wouldn't have put money on M6S adds, so who knows

futurepastnow: I think the second phase of 12 is going to be what happens in the cutscene after the raid, except you have to DO it instead of watch it. Maybe he absorbs the powers of the fighters in stasis around the room and uses their attacks, while the other fighters jump in to help you. You have to protect Brute Bomber while he charges up his spirit bomb. That would be cool.

Rangrok1k: I feel like M12S is going to have more hands. His wings are literally made of arms, yet he only uses 2 for fighting? Growing more hands => more simultaneous mechanics. Oh, and I hope the finale baby enrage is an M4S style transition phase.

thiagoloss2842: For a possible M12 phase 2, intead of the boss getting the abilities of the other fights, it could be something like the cutscene from post m12 normal where the fighters are on your side and attacking the boss and some of the mechanics are you doing their attacks with

aaronkettelhut: For M12 all of the debuffs reference different types of "cells" attaching to the player, so my mind immediately went to P8 phase 2 and the High Concept debuff merging, very much expecting some kind of hello world or nisi style debuff passing/combining. Also, I'm kind of surprised Happy didn't make the observation that the Lindwurm's wings are NEVER used for any mechanic in normal despite being very prominent on the model lol

CaptheSamuraii: She had a move called hardcore. I expect there to be a prefix to Savage attacks between Hardcore and Softcore designating how theyre resolved. Maybe Hardcore/softcore is a stored mechanic for later.

scoobiusmaximus9508: So the final phase of 12 his name needs to change to "The Arcadion" so that we can fight something with the name of the raids.

kuronaialtani: Haven't watched the video so I'll edit acknowledgement as needed but right away in m9 I noticed the expanding ring to the bats had 2 then 3 then 4 or 5. Could easily be stack or role mechanics based on the number of bats, as well as a halicarnassus or hesperos style of different mechanics based on what role she takes aether from.
