AzazellePinstriker: You're not wrong about the diversity of thought. Not too long ago I got into a raid via DF and while everyone was saying their hellos, one of the other players wrote; "TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS!!"

I just rolled my eyes, but can you imagine the outrage if I had replied, "this is a game, I don't care about your politics, just worry about healing." Or imagine if someone had got into a raid and all caps wrote, "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

I imagine someone would cap it and post it on X while wailing like a toddler and trying to "cancel" said player and run them out of "the community."

I would laugh but this situation is so common in the west it's practically expected at this point. Oh well, that's the nature of MMOs when they become popular. The normals latch on and suck the soul of the product and we go through this song and dance every time.

darrencopperwell1406: I think that there's something deeply wrong with Yoshi-P. I do not say that lightly. He remained silent and refused to defend Susan when she was attacked and threatened by the nuttier elements of the community. Yet when Wuk Lamat's VA and Kate were criticised for their repeated, bizarre commentary and unhinged activism Yoshi-P was swift to attempt damage control. He isn't the kindly, affable guy he seeks to present himself as.

x108a1: As someone who has played the game for nearly a decade. What happened to Susan was something beyond belief. And I won’t defend those in the community who wants to bring real world biases and views into the game. Most everyone I know that plays does so to envelope themselves in a fantasy word and get away from the real world for a while.

When you get to the point where you start going after people supposedly having different views then you need to take a step back and look at the world. A world where everyone has the same views and opinion becomes a world where art, music, innovation and humanity doesn’t exist.
