FFXIV Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXXXVIII 88 Summary

chromedbadger: Hopefully Quantum is them testing the waters for FF content becoming more dynamic as a whole, breaking the 2 minute meta. Feeling a bit more positive about FF14's future with this boss's existance.

Tsugandate: I think them adding such a system to dungeons would be too good to be true, but let's hope it works well in the new deep dungeon so that the devs realize how much we want more dynamic content in the rest of the game, that would be awesome.

ludnqka: this only sounds good for the players that do savage and ultimates, the casual player has no insentive to come back until they kill off wuk lamat.

MAFIUS5454: So nothing about housing or Quality of life updates, cya till 7.4

ispikemike: I’m over here thinking bro is about to reveal they said something about how skills and actions work will work in the future or something. Turns out it’s just a boss that’s adds a group stack or bait based on the difficulty

tatersalad76: I just want some light job fixes man. I need a half-rework for SMN like yesterday

UmbraWeiss: The hope is strong with this one, but you don't understand who are the people who do this:)) It will be some half-assed system that they f up, will be 30-40% done, and never update it after ever again:)) I don't even hope anymore , there is no way these developers can do anything that will save this game, at least i already lost all hope.

syllawblood: AI Athena will never recover from this. Surely a 4 man currency based difficulty will be exactly what people who will not get another Ultimate this expansion needed.

heathaltom8601: Damn, I was going to take a break from multiplayer games soon. Damn Square has other plans.

epiccaliburist9431: I don't believe for a second that the changes being added to the Quantum situation are going to have any effect on any kind of normal content below it. Dungeons/Trials/Alliance Raids are already as braindead as possible. I guarantee you that only a small sect of people are going to be tinkering in depth with the Quantum system anyway. Itd be a waste to add it to any type of casual content because no one is going to care about it while running dailies or anything like that

DolletDukedom: Difficulty for difficulty's sake is not even remotely enough to assuage people's concerns with 14. Deep Dungeon is irrelevant to endgame progression. Its utility as a leveling tool has been outclassed for several expansions now so it effectively remains, like limited jobs, self-contained niche content. Fine, by all accounts, but are we really going to play the game of "the dev's are listening to us and experimenting with content so that they can refine and deploy this new system en masse later" again?

We've done this so many times since Stormblood...

Not that I would expect much from a x.3 patch, but this is scant enough.

There are too many fundamental problems with 14's combat, progression and rewards when compared to any of its contemporaries, one more piece of extremely undercooked experimental content isn't going to suddenly begin the ponderous course-correction needed.

The creative passion at CBU3 is stagnant and that's what worries me the most.

tonythrone5576: I'm happy that you are happy, but this isnt very interesting to me, i'm not a savage raider.. I want better/free housing, i want a better friends list, I want better dungeons kinda like WOW. I think the outfits are cool, its cool that they are not putting them on the cash shop... i guess i have hope for the future, we are headed in a good direction.

vincentbeton: That Difficulty thing truly does sound great, but in my experienced pessimism, it will likely mostly lead to people arguing over it endlessly in PF and then go on to call everyone who wants less than they do a loser noob. Either that or people mostly won't do more difficult at all because rewards don't scale well enough

SlinkyRock: With what RPG mechanics do you think this game could change? It quite literally doesn't have any they can build on top off.

Seathasky: Cole did you snort a line of coke before making this video?

letherobr3178: Oh neat, deep dungeon, guess i'll only grab my mount in the EX and not sub until the next raid tier

shin_akira_: This is a bait of a video. Nothing to do with combat changes. Downvoting.

Ratix24: Thanks Cole for being on top of this shit.

hooviridis8388: Something tells me the solo achievement for this deep dungeon is gonna revolve around going from Floor 1-100 without using a continue

The_Hearer_of_Immaria: This is an interesting system. I was kind of against "Oops, all Savage again!", but THIS looks intriguing. I was expecting very little from this patch, but now...going to be cool seeing how this shakes out!

MrGullisYT: Wuk Lamat patch art evolved from bulldog to Mouse

tyhjyys: those are pretty nice pvp glams. glad they're not fomo series rewards

andrewclear8905: Don’t get your hopes up. If they added the offering systems to dungeons, but didn’t give out raid gear as a reward, then people wouldn’t engage with it. The only reason people do M in WoW is to get raid gear without raiding, or to get more raid gear than they could because of raid lockouts (and random rolls, etc). Also, it’s easier to get mythic gear from M than raiding. Hell, it’s easier to get any tier of gear from M than raiding.

But, M breads toxicity and added it to FFXIV, which is already getting to be as toxic as WoW, will not be beneficial for the community.

Catzillator: hope the reward worth it unlisk another sil'dhin savage -*-
