mannifinalsummer4544: Honestly, the first ad I've ever seen was that one with Tom during Shb and I enjoyed it so much. I've also seen that one with the sexy Estinien and that Blackmage cosplayer once or twice I think.

But shortly before DT those ads where everywhere. Every 3rd ad on YT was FFXIV, ads for free trial popped up absolutely everywhere with disabled adblock and I started getting nervous bc we all know, the more ads you see the shittier the product. Not only on TV.

And it proved me right. DT was a huge letdown after all these ads hyping us up to no end. While in Shb those ads were mostly for the game in general, those for DT mostly featured the new expansion pack. And we all know where this ended. I absolutely didn't mind seeing no advertisements for the game cause the playerbase was promoting it enough already. And Shb and Ew were absolute peak even without many ads.

I hope SE stops paying so much for stupid ads and pushes that money back to the devs so they don't have to excuse missing basic features with "no money" ever again, after all the fat cash the previous expansions brought in
