FATE HATE... Alphinaud VA Plays FFXIV shorts

AlexInAbyss: He's becoming more of a Gamer with each stream.

mattbb987: Alphinaud’s canonical “I didn’t choose the thug life” moment

Caterfree10: Ahaha, the sneakiness of FATEs dropping in when you least expect it out in the field lol. I do find them useful for leveling healers, but it’s not worth it until bicolor gemstones are available, and that’s not til Shadowbringers. Not unless you need those Fates for relic creation anyway.

noxsuperstar6868: it's okay! we all get mad at random fates dropping on us!

Zoroarrkk: I wish the clip had the section after this. "Fates need to ask for consent."

Beryllahawk: There's this comfort at least, if you're too high level for the FATE, you can't attack the mobs even if you want to (not without level sync). So sometimes you can ignore the whole nonsense. But the change in music can be annoying and distracting even so.

RBIXGUY: But how can you resist the entrancing Heavensward battle music? I never can.

Bohdii: You've gone from trauma/fear of FATEs to just straight up hating them lol

akira-hr4tv: The most reasonable reaction to a fate.

mitchiruy: Oh yeah. When the lvl 50 becomes the new l 1 and you trigger everything around you

cheffdonty: Woah woah woah... Take it easy

Paichan13: Fate squad assembles to clear it out of your way

OracleGrouse: There's even worse: a Hunt rank mob spawning on top of your msq npc. (I remember you Maahes in Thanalan)

Kekira: It's even better when you're just minding your business, gathering in peace and harmony with the zone music, and that that FATE music comes barreling in.

LittleHobbit13: Lol, the players in the background of your rant casually murdering the FATE for you.

BananaMellor: We've all been there. Your pain is ours.

This is adjacent to when you come across an A or S rank hunt mark blocking the way to a quest objective. I wonder how many poor sprouts have been cruelly cut down by them.

NulienTia: I have one particular bad memory of a FATE. Back when I started during Heavensward, I was at the part of the ARR MSQ leading up to Leviathan. There was a quest where you had to go to the Serpent's Tongue in Western La Noscea to recover a couple of soldiers' bodies... and there was a FATE in the way. This was back before you could simply fly over it... and no matter how hard I tried, I could not survive getting past the FATE, since I was still too low a level to just not sync to it. After dying a couple times, I gave up and just waited for the FATE to time out. Eventually it did, and I started working my way past the regular aggressive enemies in the area... and within moments, the FATE dropped right back on my head again and I got killed. In the end, I had to get help from my FC to do this simple quest because that damn FATE wouldn't let up.

dalgona4819: One time I saw a sprout die bc the FATE spawned where they were AFK'd

CarlosArauz: Is it just me or he is truly Alphinaud irl?

BettaBard: Haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate

sitnspin1819: "I'm getting very angry. I don't know why..." I laugh in FF14!
