_filetmignon: it's plausible that since SE changed their payment system, your bank could be having an issue authorizing charges due to the change since then and that is what they meant in the email. You don't have problems using the cards in other websites because the bank doesnt have an issue with them. They might have an issue with the payment system change on SE since before they were authorizing one payment system and now it's a different one.

alexmaganda5827: oh thats true my bank had it automatically blocked to not be able to make payments to a different country it was an easy setting i could change with online banking even my bank was basically not letting me send money from germany to a friend in swiss it worked right after 1 click
