PCGamingGoodies: I agree putting the vending machine at a convenient location. But I also don't want to spawn the player too close to the camp. The camp takes several seconds to load, and the player may run around while the camp is loading and accidentally get trapped underneath the camp or get inside locked locations. Better to spawn the player far from the camp (by placing the camp device at the farthest northeast tip of your camp), and still have the vending machine directly visible to the player when the camp is loaded. You need to try different placements of the camp device to see what's best. Also, the vending machine may be hard to see at nighttime (or perpetual nighttime like in the Skyline Valley), so you need adequate lighting too. And lastly, vending machines look wildly different and some players may not recognize them: they may be big or small, and they may look like a terminal (the default one), a cashier, or a bot. So many things to watch out for!

The best place to be around downed players is the Dangerous Pastimes and Encryptid events. Just keep close to the low level players who think they're Rambo and wait for them to go down lol.

PCGamingGoodies: The cryo-freezer is definitely a must-have for eliminating food spoilage. But you know what? Your food will STILL spoil -- during the brief moment when you start the game but before your camp is fully loaded into the world. During those few seconds, your camp is not yet loaded, so your freezer is not loaded, thus your food is spoiling. A few seconds may not seem much, but over time they add up. That's why you see some of the food in your freezer is not 100% fresh. That's because they've been slowly losing condition due to the above phenomenon. When you start the game, make sure you load straight into the world (go straight to Adventure Mode or Private Worlds). Don't dawdle at the atomic store, when your food is spoiling at the normal rate because your camp isn't loaded yet! Also, you know sometimes when you can't load your camp because your spot is taken and you have to reload? Those are several more precious seconds when your food can spoil because you don't have your camp and freezer yet.

ryanhorak7493: There are various other buff you can apply at your camp that I feel are necessary. These include the weight bench, bowling alley, arm wrestling game, musical instruments, certain slot machines, fragrance generator, etc etc. There is a long list. I highly suggest putting as many as you can in your camp and using them until the buff procs.

ryanhorak7493: Make sure you are well fed. Being full grants a buff. A lot of food give buffs as well. Crafting foods or having items in your camp that give prepared meals are a good bonus. Make sure you eat often and keep your buff up.
