LOTW1: I upgraded to mark 3 without catching any glowing fish. I cached the axolotl and 3 challenge specific fish in the Ash Heap region and 3 in the Skyline region, I think. Completing that challenge rewards the player with the mark 3. Glowing fish are not needed.

RobertRife-h6w: The real challenge is not the fishing, it is trying to snag a nuke zone weather station from Bethesta...now that is rarer than any fish!

JimBobm: I caught all local legends with improved bait , they need to make better baits more accessible if they want us to fish.

keepmgs: Caught about 50 glowing fish already, only 4-6 of them were caught in nuke/rad weather, the rest were caught in clear & rain weather.

Philip027: If worse comes to worst and you just can't find any camp with an appropriate weather (in my experience, most camps I've found have had rain/snow, not nuke weathers) nor have one of your own, you can always just make your own actual nuke zone with an actual nuke. Sure, it takes a bit of setup, but the nuke zone will likely last for more than long enough to get the 5 needed for the mark 4 reel or even the 15 for the quantum bobber, possibly even with only normal bait. You will just need to fish in a hazmat suit (or Chinese stealth armor) to stave off the rads.

TJCeeJay: Good complete set of tips. Great job! Wasn't sure if the Mothman and Skyline Valley worked as nuke zones. Now I can change things up a bit. The nuke zone weather gets tiring after a few too many hours. And yes! The quantum bobber is definitely a game changer. Been so much easier to catch the bigger fish after getting it. Advanced drag learned from the fishing dailies helps a ton too. lol! Only one thing I noticed that sucks about the fishing... Spoilage! Spend so many more hours in the game fishing, that half my food is spoiled even though I have Through Hiker active. lol!

Thorsten369: I'm not the youngest gamer anymore so i need to work hard to get things which is easy for younger players, however... i play game since the 70's and did learn a lot from many games and the most importend thing i learned over the years is... PATIENCE! Did get all the 15 glowing fish at my camp (forrest region with the Thunderstorm weather station). Unfortunately many rare fish escape when i try to real in caus i'm not that fast anymore. Have also a mobile fishing camp with turrets (so i can fish without being interrupted) and place that camp anywhere i wanna fish.

So don't give up i would say, you don't catch the fish today? Then another day will be waiting to try it again.

Soljie1969: Nuke Weather Stations are not available on the Atomic Shop now . I stocked up on improve bait had 200 and i tried with the Thunderstorm WS and use 50 baits and still no Bluefin Zapper. Took 10 tries to get the Banded Axolotl.
