However, I'm now hooked (pun intended) on fishing, I find myself casting a line whenever I find myself by water deep enough to fish in. As for beginner's luck, my grandson caught a glowing fish doing the first fishing quest he got from Captain Raymond!

brazilliantplays: No, it's not worth it. The fishing content serves as a time hook for players to stay in the game. Everything from the quests and the fishing is useless. The fish food, the rewards, the grind. I will stay away, I will do only to complete challenges if I can't re-roll

I wish they'd fix the main story and add to it, but fixing existing content doesn't sell you skins.

rjsmith5339: Tried it once, I can't wait to never do it again. Ever since they took away the scoreboard and replaced it with the season pages and tickets, (which basically give you the same kind of rewards, but requires more of a time grind than before.) I have a heightened awareness of any attempts they make to do something that is meant to just make us spend more time in the server and not give us an enjoyable and rewarding activity.

doublemax77: Yes, you can't fish in power armor. The "watch the bobber to predict where the fish is going" might deserve a dedicated video. I've heard that in other videos, but nobody explains it. I don't get it :(

PitFriend1: You can also wear the Chinese Stealth Armor instead of a Hazmat Suit to safely fish in a nuke zone or in an irradiated lake. It has just as much radiation resistance and has some combat utility, which can be helpful if something suddenly attacks you while fishing. Also another recipe you can get is Fish and Tatos which gives you an XP boost.

My main complaint so far is actually finding a spot to fish. It might just be me but it seems very fiddly trying to find a spot where it’ll actually allow me to fish. And I’ve never been able to get it to let me fish from the shore or from a dock like in the video, which is very annoying. Especially when there are chairs and fishing rods lying there on the ground so it looks like that should be a fishing spot.
