BoJangles42: I use my Utility Shelter as my main crafting workshop and buffing station. Saves me from having to use CAMP budget for workbenches and gives me all the essentials at every CAMP just by placing the Utility Shelter entrance. The only things I have to include in my CAMP aside from the shelter entrance are my cryo freezer and any resources/collectors I want.

I also use the Housing Development shelter to experiment with CAMP builds. It’s a huge, flat build area where I can build out structures or place prefabs, furnish and decorate them fully except for resource collectors, and blueprint them for use in future CAMP builds. I also use them to build and blueprint stuff to quickly place in workshops. I can jump in private mode, claim and set up 3 workshops in 10-15 mins, and AFK farm a fuckload of resources while I’m working or doing other stuff.

wrinkleneckbass: I only have a shelter, I have nothing above ground except for my CAMP module, Company Tea maker, and Pemmican maker. I have it surrounded with plants so no one can see it if they walk by, and I have the map indicator turned off. It's like my secret bat cave.

walterbison: The Wrangler Casino doesn't look like it's from Atlantic City, it looks like it's straight out of New Vegas. That School of Impersonation in Freeside where the Kings operate.

LowbrowDeluxe: I have an entire storyline built through my shelters. Main camp is a roadside attraction style theme park based around the behemoth in the lake, first shelter is a gift shop Mystery Shack, hidden in the back is a door leading to a vault, with a door in the security office leading to some mines with a BoS outpost which has entrances to a missile silo and another section of the vault which is set up like a honor hall/museum, with pews facing a podium, a coffin laid in state, and a back room set up a freezer room with more coffins. Story is basically a vault failed early, the military/security went out via the mines and joined the BoS, fought valiantly and died out with the other Appalachian BoS, and the character is the last living member hiding the vault under his grifter gift shop attraction.

Steve-go6oq: Issue with shelters is not having working resource generators in them and the inability to fast travel straight into your shelter

benadam77: I'm the same, I've never interacted with "shelters" since they came out. They seem redundant when camps already exist. Why take two extra loading screens?

jamesanthony8438: The only thing disappointing about the Firewood Pile wood generator is that it doesn't count towards dailies when you have to collect wood. We could get it all done at one time, but noooOOOoooo! Bethesda won't let you use something you have already freakin' paid for to do that!! That would be Toooo Easy!!! >=(
