MantisJoss: there is a note on a table, right in the middle of the fishermen camp. It refer to the interloper inside "The Deep". So its confirmed that this fishing update is an opener to a bigger lore content.

irredax56: The fish guy is using our fish to feed the interloper. He's got weird powers too, hes able to control people psychically. Interloper or something related to it may be another raid.

jidadt3645: Hey Turtle, not on the same topic but, the Short Scope and Precise Stock for the Gauss Shotgun are increasing the damage on it by quite a bit. I am running Bloodied/Polished so it may be increasing more than other options. The same thing is happening with just the scopes for the Combat Shotgun (but not as much). It is either a real change or a bug.

silverdragontm9548: There is a Card of the depths (not a 100% sure, not in the game to check currently) in the new location (fishers rest? I don’t play in English) It sits on a Table somewhere left of the fishy guy check from where you enter. It has scribbling on it, showing a large bend creature with tentacles. Combine that with „the depths“ - “die Tiefen” and you see, we are in a deep mine. There is a 100% relationship between the cultist cave and the fish guy!
