Shopping Cartsnerls: i know this doesn't fit fallout at all, but part of me wants power-armor exlusive greatbows, in the dark souls style - like small scale ballistae that you have to plant to the ground to be able to shoot :3
HangryDiner-wo1vq: Been enjoying a 2 shot explosive crossbow for mobbing, so fun with the new bouncy cards and it works in pa too
ianhorn5466: I've been using Burning Love with explosive arrows and grenadier and it was like having your own artillery. Had to carry a 2nd bow for close enemies so I didn't kill myself.
thesunbehindthesun1574: I love bows now they are my main weapon I use. I carry 2 compounds both bloodied (yes I know about Furious), one plasma and one cryo. I use an Elder’s Mark for backup and an Auto Axe for melee. I’m not really into heavy guns as my main, although the Plasma Caster is something I might use once in awhile to mix things up. Hat Trick is what makes bows worth it IMO.
hyperionlink: With the changes to armor penetration, I'm really wondering if Bow Before Me is even effective for a max level bow. The base damage is so high it should in theory not really benefit from the extra armor penetration.
jpatty5964: Haven’t played in a long time but to me why I’d think burning love is better is if you use grendier to make the radius larger, when hat trick procs while mobbing or events, you’d be hitting a lot more enemies
ghendar: I like that they have made many more weapons relevant but in the case of bows, I think they may have gone a little batpoop crazy. I know FO76 is not a real world simulation. It's not supposed to be. It's a game, but when bows are doing this much damage and outclassing heavy and energy guns, it seems like they have lost their minds here. I really enjoy this game, but it's a bit wacky and goofy in places.
Nimiodomera: Thank you for doing this comparison, I've pondered this exact question for a bit now!
9Nifty: Furious explosive pin pointers is your other option. Because you aren't actually doing fire dmg, you're doing fire over time dmg which is the less important part of the equation.
paneth8466: Its also a really easy bow to get so if you are a fresh 50 bowman you are more or less set for a while until you get a 4 star bow. You could also get more than one and have different arrow mods in them if you want. Bow typically is around 1.5k to 3k caps that Ive seen.
Wax_Fidelity: I've been using plasma arrows with amazing success. Might have to give cryo arrows a try
nightreaper006: Been running this bow and a similar build for while now and cant beat the damage and utility in events...been loving it so much
raphaelsilva6071: the raw dmg is nice, but we basically exchange 1 and 3 stars for more base dmg since we cant swap the legendaries. its a good dmg until u can cook a good 3 or 4 stars compound bows. bow weight almost nothing, its easy to have 1 with cryo to slow down and the other with plasma for more dmg
MichaelsExplorations: I always use Cryo arrows I can’t spell
batuhaneker9946: I've also been switching between exact same 2 bows last couple of weeks and it felt exactly the same, 4 star one is only a little bit better. sometimes i enjoy setting things on fire with burning love though.
beastabuelos6421: At events with lots of enemies, I'll take off hat trick and put on something else. Hat trick will absolutely sap your reverse onslaught at high enemy events
Lancars: Be great if it dropped. Every time i run tunnel of love its always the love tap.
DingleBerryschnapps: Probably is, but I’ll never use a bow until I can hold it in my proper hand. I’m not using a bow left-handed when Im a right handed person. It looks weird. Especially for people that have actually shot a bow in real life.
SquirePsycho: Yes. It is the best. Been using it since update.
uJarGamer: No
Refr619: Ive been gone for 3 years been playing for a month now again. & i still dont understand onslaught. Maybe I'm just stupid idk.
Sypitz: I absolutely despise this weapon (and all bows) in first person. It absolutely enraged me
jasonfrahm4275: Not having any problems running my furious , explosive , lucky hit compound bow with plasma arrows and pin pointers.
Dmaster2k: It's the pinpointers that is really doing the heavy lifting for that final bow. Would be interested in seeing what it would be like without it. Also maybe swapping the agility for int to get just a little bit more cryo damage could help.
Gamingcs11692: I am experiencing difficulty hitting targets consistently when using a bow, even while utilizing the VATS system. I am also not using the Twisted Muscles perk, which I understand can negatively affect accuracy outside of VATS. I am unsure of the cause of this issue.
nitro_box: Burning Love is very perk dependant as all it has going for it is it's superior base stats but with the correct perk configuration, it can outperform any non-4* bow. Against trash mobs, it's just as good as a 4* though. If you can find a kind Bowslinger who will offer to install Cyro arrows, it's a beast for early game considering it's ease of use and obtaining.
