mikejackson5658: Not an issue for the majority of the player base.
dtuck1980: Grenades shouldn't go through walls. Im more upset about VATS and Ultracite ammo no longer being dropped and having to craft them. Much bigger issue.
thesweetone: You mean you are mad that grenades will work like grenades not magical super bombs... Gotcha
ayauetoazumi6824: It's not a total big deal it adds like 30 seconds to 1 min 30 extra to run it and shoot them i mean grenades are not ment to hit 3 to 4 levels of concrete and enemies behind 5 walls had to be changed eventually people acting like this is the biggest issue with fallout haha
Unix-l6d3s: Ima be real with you chief, farming wes tek is a thing of the past. Raids are the way people lvl up now. They have been for a while now. That being said, Its pretty dumb to nerf something that just requires more time to farm up and get ready for and is overall worse than speedrunning raids. I find it 'interesting' how these changes shake the status quo of things that have been a staple of fallout 76 for a long time. (wes tek farming, luck having a high effect on crits, crits meter filling up completely after 2 shots changed to now 3 or 4, bloody mess now having a chance to do explosive dmg, etc)
louskywalker9656: Can they just stop already. Nerf, buff, nerf, buff. Just fix the damn game!
scorpios_corz: With them getting rid of heavy gunner builds and this garbage with their nerfing the game constantly, seems like they hate us loyal players for having whatever fun is left in the game, they just want to make it shit and "play it our way or no way attitude" is what's making people stop playing. If they do go ahead with killing off the heavy gunner I won't be subbing or playing the game ever again, I really hate Bethesda decisions that make this game a pile of steaming dog shit, it's really lacking to keep people wanting to play when this is the shit we have to put up with all the bloody time from these shit stains Bethesda corporate shrills!
Tanchicomarkas: The west tek change is a non issue for me. The grenade grind in there has always seemed a bit off. I have always just gone in and just killed them normally. I so no reason why Bethesda should revert the grenade change ;)
MeanCalifa: To me this doesn't bother. What upsets me is they're changing the LMG (the WW2 style one) from .308 to .45. It seriously just show that no one at Bethesda knows what an LMG truly is.
ToxicTwattv: Grinding westek was despressing anyway.
They need to up the events to make them on par with rumble and eviction notice.
We want to shoot lots of things fast.
Prefer doing expeditions for exp as the loot is better and ammo bulk is great.
10 minute a run at most, get around 90k experience bonus at end with all that loot, modules and tickets.
Overall better experience other than the helicopter ride.
Edit: oh and the broken escort quest can ruin so many speed runs.
Pyrate_Of_Las_Vegas: The Devs at Bethesda know literally NOTHING about firearms.
marcovahatalo9504: Good change! Less lvl 5000 players that do not have any clue about how the rest of the game works
chris5942: The devs cant code outside of changing existing numbers. Incompitent fkery to fill production quotas.
grotler: Nuka nades shouldn't have worked trough walls in the first place, this is a good fix/change.
The random ammo drops from ultracite ammo weapons is gonna be annoying thou.
FreeJohnDoe2006: I never use grenades myself so not an issue for me personally, I just sell them at the train stations or put them in the red drop box.
KentuckyRanger: I've been playing since release, and while I am running three characters, my main character is only at level 1,300.
When I see players at like 10,000 or even 30,000, yes, I've seen them, I just shake my head...
Who's it hurting?
Bethesda, LOL!
bagmanwatches: I farm Westec with James my super sledge and angry Betty my chainsaw, no problem. Don't need no sticky Nuka granade.
philshel1: It's all about the monetization. Microsoft has likely determined that lower level players who do not finish the season will spend more in the atom shop when the items become available. Higher level players do nothing but hoard things making the overall server costs higher (as do larger more effective explosions). They do not care if we leave, they do not care about "fun". They are not going to waste coder hours on bug fixes. Every meeting will be about revenue per player hour. What matters is new players, new revenue streams, lower costs, and higher quarterly profits.
ThatGuy-u7h: A non needed change Bethesda
EEEEEEEEEK: The Seasons aren’t meant to be ground out in 7 hours. I don’t think you’ll sway Bethesda with this argument.
Whbrown417: Oh I don’t care about the westtek farming with nuka-nades, I’m more annoyed about the heavy gunner perk changes as I want(ed) to make a ghouls heavy gunner PA build
Chef_Gregg_Breeds_Snakes504: I'm totally alright with it. Anything Bethesda can do that lessens the number of people using the exact same builds, glitches, short cuts, and play styles that just turn the game into series of hacks, glitches, and exploits is OK with me. Be nice to see the masses not all stuck into 1 or 2 build styles that still look to short the experience and cut every corner possible. Just play the game.
aseroxd: I do think Fo76 players are a bit naive. I've been playing mmos for a very long time and Bethesda seems like Yes Man in comparison. But I can imagine how it feel with them suddenly tightening the grip after letting things slide for so long. I guess I'm just used to watching that old vice squeeze tighter and tighter all the time.
OfficialTargetedIndividual: It sucks in general but seems like something that should've been addressed earlier. Originally I thought as a suggestion was changing all grenades' to include the feature to go through walls, so it would be more an issue of radius.
Currently there is a large disconnect between what casual gameplay is, if this change was to solely focus on affecting completion rate of the Scoreboard then other exploits like the quick reset of the Ultracite Terror should be also addressed. Currently completing the scoreboard using only dailies and weeklies (no score boosts).
I would like to see changes in completing the scoreboard to be increased daily/weekly, but I think Bethesda/Zenimax would be more concerned on getting the players to spend Atoms to purchase Season rank ups.
Edit: I think the largest upset from the 'casual' player will be from the perk changes and ammo.
FI-Gamer: I use nuke grenades and I think the reform is good, not the price to make but the line of sight think. I've never understood why they have to work through walls.
Arkham8076: Farming West Tek with nuka grenades has allowed me to reach level 100 in the past few seasons in about 3 hours. I think Bethesda wants players taking longer so they are more compelled to pay for season levels.
I was going to switch to farming EN06 for farming XP for the season but that may no longer be efficient since they are changing how limbs are targeted in VATS.
Overall I’m happy with the balancing changes. More builds are viable and I think removing options to cheese stuff is ok, as long as it isn’t purely driven by getting the player to spend more money.
mobi1etone: I finished the Season over the weekend, not looking forward to having to change all my characters perks again with the next update. urgh.
