hughejasse1: I've caught all of the local legends and the axolotls and I wasn't repairing my rod. For me I used the advanced drag mod, mark 4 reel, grilled fish, and fish chowder. Fishing in the rain seems to help but it wasn't raining for Willard or Organ Grinder, and I only used common bait for the legendaries. Thanks for the video and take care.

dustinsutton7777: I contacted Bethesda about the repairing of the fishing rod. They told me it was never meant to be repaired and that they will be taking care of it in the coming days. They took care of it finally.

robinblackmoor8732: I stopped repairing almost right after I realized it was an option. It does nothing. I can't catch the legendary fish to save my life. I have hooked them, but can't reel them in.

Yes i have problems with the fishing rod. I have the mk4 spool and that brake mod on, and try to catch the 3 world boss fishes. I don't get them. They disappear all the time.

TheBuckbennyrides: I literally got the drag mod for my rod 1 day before the update. Went and caught wavy willard first try. It was hard, but I got it right away. After the update, it feels impossible with the other 2. Feels waaaaay faster now. And harder to follow it.

I hate fishing in games..

keithday1982: I don't know why. but sense the start of the fishing until now. all I have caught is 3 types of small fish. the redbelly, the broke silver side and the sunscream. that is all I have caught nothing else. no medium fish so I have not been able to get even the mk1 real. I sent a ticket to Bethesda but they where not able to help me. I just hope some day one of the updates will fix this. but I don't have a lot of hope.

bigbow62: Yes.... I've fixed the rod before when I could and never noticed any difference. Since the update, you can't remove junk that does nothing anyway....

I'm up to 40 glowing fish and caught the local legend at The Big Maw today ! I've caught aprox. 500 /- fish have every challenge done but 2 local legends and 36 glowing fish for the 76/76.

If you're not having luck at a location, move a few feet left or right and also switch bait from time to time ( common to improved and back & forth every few fish )

Also, the advanced drag upgrade is a big help the Mk 3 & 4 reels.

The repair is likely still in the game because the fishing rod is a super special item. It doesn't exist in our inventory. We don't need to craft it, but we can modify it like it was a real weapon. i don't think it's a lazy solution, but I do know that Bethesda specifically 76 has a habit of fixing one thing and breaking 6 others.

I think the option is still there because if they remove it it's going to break too many other things. The work around is to put up a screen that says "no"

But again tho. This players experiencing the repair thing ..

clydedenby1436: The supreme bait is the real key. It filters out almost all of the unwanted fish. I got Wavy Williard and the Organ Grinder in just 30 minutes.

pcgamingnerd9529: Not sure actually , but it might be something to do you can craft quite easily and cheaply and what I noticed it costs more to repair than craft
