BrentLeVasseur: Pay attention to high level players over rank 1,000 because they will most likely help you. There have been many times where I tried to help a new player and was completely ignored. I would drop great crafted weapons, food, chems, mutations, and ammo and the player would ignore me and teleport away.

antonfowler6582: First thing new players should do is go to flatwoods and complete the few quests in that location to get the chem bench and tinkers bench plans

keithcreel9576: An older player here. In my opinion you should not be immediately doing the wayward souls quest line. The original quest line involves finding the responders ,completing their tutorial and quest line which eventually leads to the overseer tapes, the airport, camp building tutorials, unlocking crafting benches, random raider quest tutorials from top of the world, the enclave bunker, and launching a nuke. The wayward quest line will lead you eventually to the raiders and settlers and ultimately unlocking gold bullion plans from Treasury notes. After all that do the brotherhood quest line, then sky valley, then burning springs. Plus many more side quests in between.

Kerran32: My best tip for ALL new players, is DO NOT complete the MAIN QUESTS until you hit level 50. This way the gear/weapons you get from the quests will be at max level (50). These are also one time only rewards so again do them once you hit 50.

My least favorite think is that its open world and I can do whatever I want because without something making me do what Im supposed to do, I instead do everything imaginable except for what im supposed to be doing because I get distracted hoarding junk and other random crap I come across lol

welshdavis: Can someone tell me why I have 52 mods but can’t put them on anything? I also have a legendary mod but it doesn’t let me put it on everything. Also I bought the extra camps from the atom shop and every time I try to put it down it is always my original camp. Thank you.
