ZOS Claims Record ESO Player Engagement with Night Market

RickyEMJr: Night Market is so fun. Just unlocked Shattered Paths Signet and going back in with a new build today!

brendanheald9067: As a solo player that dabbles in Vet Dungeons, I’ve been trying it out for the past two days and can say I like it. Very easy to join a random group in the group finder and there’s no pressure to be “optimized” doing general stuff. I’m glad they added it. Not disappointed.

icebergslim0177: They have to eventually address the population. I thought it was 36 players in each area and then learned it was 36 players total in the 3 areas for the instance.

bugg6597: I am pretty darn sure he is lying to save face. We the community have been complaining that the event is so dead as a door nail that we can’t find groups to play it

torito_da_cheeto9855: As a solo player I like how this event forces you to mingle with groups to collectively complete achievements prior to this event I’ve never led a 12 man group but in order to unlock all the relics I had to be that guy and it’s been a good experience couldn’t have done it without the group mates that stuck it out after so many people kept quitting after the first fail at a boss

rammen4: The game is for sure on a high right now. As always thanks for keeping us updated

salvadortorres360: I'm a solo only player. The night market is fun. The only problem I have is there's too much group stuff. I can pretty much solo anything, my build is solid and fun and I can wipe large groups of adds and brazen bosses solo. My only beef is the group mechanics. Also, if it's so busy why can't I find anyone doing skirmishes ever?

silaf1496: I had a lot of fun: My only complaint is that after obtaining all 3 faction masks and 10000 favors (wich is not difficult if you use the food) there is no reason to interact with the market anymore. Maybe after completing all bosses should drop more trade bars or something to give reasons to keep playing.

BakedBizcuit: Love love love to see some positive news and metrics coming from ESO and ZOS. Hopefully they can keep this momentum up going further into the year and beyond. Great video Spopes!

raulmckool: 50% of that "engagement" is people trying to solve the laser and boulder puzzles. Well played, ZOS. Well, played.

Kritique: yea even on x box eu which has the smallest player base and literally no one uses group finder. there’s actually people grouping together and using it. it’s pretty cool to see.

idancewithsaibot: this is my first 3 months playing eso and honestly it was the most fun ive had the entire time besides questing. Just jumping in with guildies or randoms and clearing the night market 's brazen, argent and calamitous bosses are super fun maybe getting fragments maybe getting motifs or styles to sell idk that's just me lol im excited to see how it evolves obviously since the livestream that mentioned it, it was always going to be a group thing .

KevinAlexander-r9b: I did have fun joining groups to fight bosses in the night market. Was able to get nice loot and even legendary leads. Fragment pieces to click on to eventually unlock a item. Cons are its hard to find a groups at times maybe because the time of day I play. Maybe tweak rewards and daily coffers and make it more easy to group up. Most have been stated they are fixing.

avand628: I like the night market. I'm a mostly solo player and it made me up my skills and builds a bit. I even published some solo builds on eso hub of the ones that do well there. The rewards are a bit of a let down. So was the house when compared to the last of its kind (Hall of Lunar Champion)

leivendil: Love that zos started looking at feedback! Night market is a great activity. I hope at some point they start looking at pvp feedback and changes as well. Currently dk's are wrecking every single game and have no counterplay

Aggressiveduck: Not a shocker, its the only real new content since last year, literally everyone is being funneled into it one way or another

Kcee1105: I think this is the best video u made!!! Finally u say something good with zos. Cause every time I watch your vids u always throw hates.

Anyways, I agree night market is really fun and I’m happy with zos for the good feedback they getting.

Obllviun: Absolute W

AbolishedREM: I hate the Night market I can't run it solo and all the drops suck for me

beerdrinkingbear912: The key grinding and monster heads locked behind the trial and different factions is bad design in my opinion. Joined the glittering goad. What if any of the sets become meta and you can't get it until next time.

There are no leaderboards.. Makes replaying the trial boring.

Plus rewards in general are lacking.

The worst part is getting enough people ready for the trial. I had to farm everything for 4 people to get full for the no death.

I am glad, I am done with all the achievements. Was a horrible experience.

Too easy for good players, too hard for casuals. Felt like work and no fun.

bigblueperc: I wish they would just remove the competition part all together. I’ve always found the team stuff to be corny and pointless. Everyone wants to win and rightfully so. You shouldn’t lock rewards behind a faction choice when your individual contribution makes no difference at all. If you farm 100k favor and your faction loses, you miss out on a reward that was given to someone who earned 200 favor on a winning faction. It’s unnecessary.

Micairo: Hey hello!!. Been loving the night market. Commment about the keys, the way I see it is that they design this loop that makes you come back to the night market every time you complete the trial. It makes sense because it will have been crowded at the start but after people got their keys the population will decrease greatly (if keys were permanent). I will like to have the keys drop at 75% or increase every time you go back until reaching 100%, so is not that anoying to have to go back and farm all the keys everytime you want to do the trial.

tinasmith1391: Being a mostly solo player at first I was kind of upset that there were so many instances and such a low player cap but after playing it awhile I think I see why they did it. I have an old AMD RX580 GPU and it can barely handle the load in there. I think the devs made a good call, I hope they don't change it. As for the difficultly I don't really understand why people are complaining. This is basically a non-instanced "Open (or public) Trial" event so it seems a lot to me like people complaining that Trials can't be soloed.

toomath: my guild has been in there over and over, and the group finder seems to always have something giong, way more than trials or other content. really nice.

Micairo: I will love to see you post a build with the new mythic, seems is better for pvp because I have not seen builds on youtube for pve using it.

DarthHarambe-i2m: One of my (albeit minor) qualms about nm is the xp gains. Especially with xp % being a huge staple for the new challenge difficulties, it feels odd that arc 1 stage 1 of ia gives more or as much xp than killing a couple dozen nm (non-adds) mobs. Expanding the population cap sounds scary too.., every time theres an event it seems like functionality in other areas like trials & ia takes a dive, but then again people do tend to couch server performance as an "RNG thing"

TheRogue_Paladin: Getting trial sets from doing night market would be nice also I personally would enjoy favour being higher than what it is currently.
