If you wrote down, without embellishment or inflammatory emotional language, a list of the questionable decisions the devs have made through the years without naming the game, nobody who knows anything about MMO's would believe you that the described MMO is still going strong 10 years later.

Yet here we all are a decade later, like a protective parent swatting at the devs hands "Don't touch my child!"

There's some magic to ESO. Something that resonates with us. Something so perfect at its core that we suffer all the other nonsense around it.

ESO gets some things so close to perfect it's doomed to succeed despite the devs best efforts to kill it.

We all keep coming back to ESO because it's home.

Cooperharley0204: It's the closest thing to being a perfect MMO for me personally. WoW is a close second. If ESO had the mount collection / achievement system that WoW has and had something similar to mythic or WoW's delve system, I'd be beyond obssessed. Great game regardless!

ddw34: I've seen several videos come out from multiple creators, trying to convince people to come back to the game. Honestly I think the devs, are contacting creators and sponsoring them to make videos. Would not surprise me, considering past events with a certain content creator cutting ties, and revealing how zenimax tries to control the content creator's words and actions and spin a positive narrative about the game. Truth be told the same problems are still there, but they are exacerbated by the games dwindling population. All of this, is due to ZOS negligence in addressing core problems that the community pointed out to them.

But once i discovered Elder Scrolls online in 2019, it was a wrap lol, i tried going back to Terra to see how the game was since my departure but it died sadly. Terra was great for time it lasted, after being brought to console in 2018.

MsVector666: I like eso because for me it is a solo game with other people around that can help me or I can help them. And this is the beaty of it. I dont have time to be in constant group or be in the game at certain time when my friends can play. I can run around, build my character, do stuff, explore the world and stories in this world and I can see other people do same thing. It is truly best experience for me. I've not played eso for about three month and now I am ready to go back fresh with subclassing building my stormcold sorcerer

Von_Craven: Haven't played since right before Gold Road since I wasn't able to buy it at the time, but kept up with it.

I was never a fan of the dilution of builds via Hybridization, and the Devs general disdain for its players, after the Nefas stuff and now subclassing...

So, I'm probably never coming back to this game now that the Devs have basically finally checked out on listening to players and what they want and instead are moving to making the sandbox so diluted that they can have some B team working on balance and only care about Crown Store like they really always have.
