Shopping Cartsamuraichicken2315: The fans are divided between those who hate it and those who really hate it.
l-_-sage-_-l: Sounded like we were going to be fighting monsters coming out of the wall all over not dolmens. There should’ve been mobs spawning consistently across the whole wall & various strength bosses coming out as well. It doesn’t take a lot of thinking. Could’ve made structures that the mobs were targeting that would remove progress if they hit them so there’s things to defend & could even add turrets on those. Again doesn’t take much thinking to make this fun
lt.danicecream: Expect more of this with the reduced dev team and budget. More rehashed crap for higher prices
Xesh: They need to look at how older MMO's handled live events. This is glorified dolmen hunting, when it needs to be dangerous. If the worm cult is invading Solstice, I want it to be a full on war, not an amusement park. Nowhere should be safe, Daedric should be coming out of that wall and pushing on Solstice.
RiyaRoy-l2x: It getting too expensive, season pass costs alot and nothing but frustrations in return. If phase 2 is as crappy im done with eso and besides that i wont buy a season pass anymore anyway.
wetdog1606: I thought it would be setting up siege weapons and fighting off Deadre coming through the wall - with some sort of camp building - in short a cross between Cyrodil and Imperial City - but working together. What we got was just any other event - but instead of tickets - a work towards unlocking what we've already paid for. I do sort of enjoy it - but not happy that I paid, but everybody can join in. Before ESO was released it was said that it would be pay to play annually - and pretty much everybody said, ' well stuff that' - so it changed. Looks like microsoft wants that back. So far I've paid £40 for a couple of hours of quest. Behind the wall had better be a whole bloody game - and not just a bit of coldharbour.
KingDomfaithlifecoaching: I'm sorry but ZOs really missed the mark with this event. Not only are the drops garbage and the rewards lackluster, the actual event is boring. From the outset it bored me and I had high hopes for it. They really could have done something with that counting down bug they had, or the charging lens but once again, it feels like they dumbed down the event to these stupid fetch quests. This angers me. Like, I really don't think the developers are getting to explore their creativity. They could not have consulted the player base and come up with this garbage as a result.
Qutna: This event, has been a massive wasted of time.. since the second day I have done only the quest with sure gold chest drops.. after that.. I moved on to other games. The grind is just not worth the time required.
Getting vendors with the green and blue rewards, that can be buy with some kind of reputation system for the event wound be better.
The motif given as part of the achievements.
And the house, a goal for progression in the event instead of mind-numbing RNG drops.
All this RNG base drops, with repetitive gameplay, feels like I paid for an overpriced mobile gatcha game...
The drops... can not be called "rewards"... this is not rewarding.
evancalgary7684: 60$ for dailys.......... if this honestly was not gifted to me months ago i would have refunded it if i got it just for this boring event and i doubt phase 2 or 3 will be much better
jamesmoriarty2001: Glad to see that "actively listening to the player base" brought us an event everyone hates. ZoS has been and continues to be a dumpster fire.
ЯрославСуський: Didn't see any positive feedback about this event...
duffygraham: Let's just call it what it is. Fetch quest slop. I've canceled ESO and I won't be buying future content.
Bowmanganie: My biggest issue, as mainly a solo player, is that the Vetrified Souls and the get 8 fat/essense/sap/hides can either go fairly quickly or be an absolute horror to try to complete. On XBEU the other day, I picked up all the quests and went off to do a camp. After completing all 6 camp quests I had a total of 4, yes 4 vetrified souls. Ugh. Went off to fetch 8 things. 3 hours later I had completed 4 fetch quest and STILL had not completed one Vetrified Souls quest. Today, ran all the quest with friends and rolled right thru all of them with no problem. The other thing getting murmured about is the change in percentages and how is XBEU winning anything? I hardly see anyone on there regularly. Day two of the event there were an entire 7 of us fighting a camp. That was sweaty, whew.
workoutgameout: Yeah, I expected Writhing Wall, to be a momentous event, like threat of Ankuraj event in WoW. I was 16 and poor but I never forgot the feeling, of working towards an effort that required the unity of the Horde and Alliance, to stop. I thought this was gona be a Beautiful event but it’s been Trash.
devonkamplain6221: They just need to increase drop rates for siege camp chests and make it so the writhing worm style pages don’t drop the ones you already have. Does suck that there doesn’t seem to be a token exchange for stuff either which sucks.
replaygeorge: You keep mentioning the rewards, like that would matter so much. If you are playing for a few years, the main issue is that ZOS isn't really bringing anything really NEW, only in setting and the gimmick that is a certain theme like a festival, or some boss. So, now there is this magic wall that is new, but actually, the whole server event is the same carrot on the stick they make us run for since the beginning: you run from dolmen to dolmen, farm stuff, and do fetch dailies or kill the same world bosses over and over. You don't get an event limited play style, or mechanic, like become hostile and play as a cultist/zombie, get a debuff to infect other players (like in WoW events), have very powerful bosses invade major cities to create chaos, destroy buildings, do some sea battle, access some totally weird and unstable Oblivion realm... etc. I could care less what collectible or fragment I get for a while. There are so many mounts, pets and outfits that none uses. These collectibles are not worth the time investment. The devs keep saying they value the community, but they keep doing the same recipe while posting about tests, servers, new directions, we heard you, or whatever, without really changing much regarding these events. Even the DLCs follow the same safe and boring recipe with the same number of delves, bosses, dungeons, and the same safe not to upset anyone boring stories for quests. I am very upset because of the devs keep doing that, while I have been patient and supporting their business. Problem is they keep seeing these uninspiring underwhelming patches as successes, when they are just a confirmation of their comfort zone where they stay since probably Summerset.
DarthGamer288: no real incentive for me. if they gave a free house or really nice rewards i would do it. plus the quests to get items from enemies is a pain when players kill it before you can get a hit in.
deuce-dubya9499: Huge lack of incentive for this event (less rewards than holiday events IMO) especially given the hype they created. Incentives are lacking in all facets of content, a historically glaring problem unfortunately, given that population is slowing dwindling.
moonhaewon6689: Hot take maybe? I've been playing for less than a year, I've never had any event in ESO that was fun, I always stop interacting with it 3 days in. Extreme time gate on event tickets, heavy fomo because if you lose a few days you're not gonna get what you want. Overcomplicated for no reason, instead of buying what you want straight you have to buy this to combine with that and with that other thing, boring and annoying. The dailies you have to do are ok at best, the besto nes are the ones where you get it just by doing what you already do daily, which imo is the best because the events are very uninspired and uninteresting
JuanTorres34: Divided how everyone hates it except for the rewards
AllanSmith-i3c: Well ,
ethanward3912: Its terrible. Never forget how bad it is. If you even think for a minute its good and the rewards are good you are blind. Remember they gave us a whole ass mansion from the 1st community event. This "massive event" is just a boring update. Nothing new nothing big nothing to get excited over. Recycled quest. Just outright dogshit
JosephKemper: The big disappointment I have is that it really doesn't feel like a war. Now, if they changed up the siege camps so that instead of just one activating at time, a random number between 1 and all of them activating at one time might make it feel more like a war.
oferreiradelima4436: I already pay for ESO , no way to pay for seasonal content unless it adds new mechanics like scribing, new followers or new classes, etc...
Radmuz2: Rewards are very meh and I only started playing 5 months ago. Content Pass was a waste for what I got. Unless something pops up it will be my last
johnsshed995: I allwats baught the chapters as they came out .I pay my monthley subricption it was a system that worked for Me and I liked it .As a matter of principle i refuse to pay for a ''game pass ''. they have fixed a problem that didn't exist .Call me'' pig headed'' if you want but this is not what I sighned up for 10 years ago .
darlenehoover6577: I know there's some people really frustrated with this event and I agree drops rates are an issue. But its not something I concern myself with overly much since rng and me are long time (11 years of bitter hate!), enemies. Regardless of this, I'm easily entertained and I do whatever until a friend hops on. So I can't suggest that theres one group more irritated by this event than another since the griping I'm hearing is from all types of players.
