You did what you could but ESO doesn’t have anywhere near the class diversity to make multi classing remotely interesting. The only upside is hopefully this makes Zos release new classes every year or every other year because after 11 years and to have 7 classes with 21 total class skill lines is a complete joke.

Arcanist base on high elf, winter's embrace. tried necro, nightblade, and templar so far. pros and cons to each. chilling trample from scribing is dope on this spec. Also try rune of displacement, you suck in crowds, flail them in place, then drop winter on top. awesome. Also, the ulti from the destro staff is insane on frost.
