The REAL Reason ESO players Never Quit

notarealperson: 200 hours, thats adorable

360racord: Over 10k hours here. Sometimes I slow down sometimes I go hard.

lumbi246: gave a like n comment. The games speaks for itself...it's a quality game

andyd3447: I've been playing on and off since 2016 and have thousands of hours on the game on ps4/ps5. Eso is my comfort game and it's pretty low pressure (unless you do higher end content). It also helps that zos absolutely refuses to shut the servers down.

Celestial_Koi: I have 207 days logged into eso. Still going. It's like a drug

Euthymia: Glad you're digging the game! Definitely one of the things I love about ESO is the diversity of activities. Get bored with one thing, go try another. Questing, crafting, PVE, PVP, Tales of Tribute, fishing, group dungeons/trials, role playing (although that doesn't seem to be ESO's strongest suit), trying different combat group roles, different classes, optimizing builds, there's so much. I had gotten a bit jaded and took a couple of weeks off, then they hit me with Night Market. Everyone should at least go there to get the amazing house, but the combat gameplay is GREAT. And even if you're still new, you may be able to use Group Finder to experience some of it. Warning, you WILL die a lot, I'm a veteran player and die a lot in NM.

BTW, you sold a bunch of gear that would have been better off deconstructed. Even after you've leveled up whatever skill line could benefit from the decon inspiration, the materials you get are worth more than what a merchant pays you for the gear. I've been playing for thousands of hours and my policy is never sell to a merchant things that I could deconstruct.

When you said "trading," I thought you were going to describe selling items you don't need to other players through a guild trader. That's where, if you already have enough mats to make whatever you want, you can sell stacks of them to other players. Some players would rather spend gold to buy materials and other stuff than spend the time and effort to collect/farm/grind them, and you can get a lot of gold by selling it to them. I picked up an extremely rare crafting motif in a DLC dungeon and sold it at a guild trader for over 6,000,000 gold. Now I never need to worry about the gold cost of anything. It can be confusing to figure out how much to list things for, but there's a website (and add on) called Tamriel Trade Center that shows what's being listed and for how much, at guild traders all over the map. I probably make around 100,000 gold a week doing this, and I'm very casual about listing things.

AllanSmith-i3c: I like the lore, and the different races, and with the emotes you can role play, and just enjoy a nice horse ride, or just listen to the NPCs, what I don't like is all the Woke Crap in the game. The followers were not based on race, but gender expression. No wood elf followers, no imperial followers, so on.

ESO_PRIME: I LOVE ESO PVP - 20k hours in 10 years, still can’t get enough

austinanderson862: Personally even more then being in love with elder scrolls, I love the general community of eso. I was a heavy destiny player but it lost me with an absolutely toxic community, heavy cheating, and it forcing you into a 60 hour grind for 1 piece of perfect gear that you'll probably never get. In eso ive never had a day I got off and thought to myself " that was a waste of time ". Every time I shut the game down im happy with my progress, cant wait to get back on, and nothing feels unreachable. Its the 1 game I can spend a year grinding to afford items/houses that are worth millions and know its gonna be ok cause the server wont shut down. I know some people have alot of problems with it but Personally I have never wanted to leave the game.

PrimordialAeon: its an Elder scrolls game. what more do you want?

samuraichicken2315: I put in 8.9k hours into the game but then I stopped playing about two years ago. I popped in briefly to check out subclassing but found that it had made things worse.

ESO is a great game with great lore, stories and characters but has been badly let down by bad decisions; particularly regarding endgame.

So I'm not playing anymore but I'm keeping an eye on things and will come back the moment ZOS fixes the things that drove me away.

henrycactus3640: I love your video, great job on making it. ESO is such a fun game and I really like it and I really like your channel

blackbaron13-eo1xq: I've been playing this game since last November and I am absolutely enjoying it! My only regret was not joining years ago. To me, ESO IS ES VI!

Hildebrondus: Over 3,000 hours here.

I could care less about quests, trials, dungeons, overworld, housing. A lot of styles in the game I don't like.

WHAT I DO LIKE: Being a ride or die pvp healer for my buds in DC. Winning a clutch fight is the best.

iSavageSage: for me it's like a bad marriage...it's not the game I fell in love with but been with it too long to leave

Vuralyon: If ESO continues to update their combat like they did with Dragnknight and add the difficulty modes, I think it will be a strong contender to keep me away from Classic WoW finally.

notme-vg5bd: False - despite them using every addiction tactic in the book I quit several years ago and have never looked back... yet youtube still tosses random crap like this in my feed lol.

Song_of_Emptiness: 7k hours here.. Favorite universe the ability to play together with your wife in your favorite world..

Gyldawnthe8th: I just grinded like 10 storyline quest now I feel like crap for not taking my time and listening and enjoying the story.

christ0ph3rson70: It’ll be a lot better once the overland content difficulty options come. I’ve been coming back to ESO since its release on PC - in the last few years I’ve played the most I’ve ever played though. I primarily do PvP now but I’ve done all of the vet trials multiple times with various guilds. For me, the true end game is PvP hehe…it’s amazing when the lag isn’t bad.

Southerdown: I always come back

Being_Is_Reality_Is_Being: Haven't watched the video yet but as someone who has every jubilee cake, let me take a guess. Sunk cost fallacy?

Edit: Maybe just me then. If you got xp for placing furniture then I would have hit cp cap a long time ago lol

zenwilds2911: There is no other MMO with decent graphics that allows players to build castles.

ESO is lacking many modular building pieces to make castle building truly shine, but housing is the sole reason I keep returning to ESO.

I want to build and RP in castles.

I can't do that in WoW, FFXIV, or BDO.

StrongArmEntertainment: I don't know after a couple thousand hours of doing the same things over and over again you kind of get bored. And then your end game becomes just making a bunch of gold and you make millions and then you get bored again

DarthHarambe-i2m: We quit this game because we're the people who got ESO wanting a real traditional mmorpg. Now most of the player base doesnt do end-game content, they play dress-up and act like they're in a fantasy style Sims game. ZoS is in a great spot because you guys will waste money on any random new cosmetic or a music box or some other stupid crap & they don't have much competition on console. Hell, they can't even vet their addon authors after the copyright issue for console addon with that Library a couple months ago lololol. Stop paying for a joke company or preferably pleaseeee go play the Sims or Club Penguin, whichever

kelter1027: I have over 3000 pc...It's like you said, It feels like home...I love the Elder Scrolls lore. They have created a very beautiful and special world and the music is everything

TineshByR: I signed up for ESO Plus and starting playing ESO earlier this month because with a full time job, my leisure time is limited, and I do not want to spend it troubleshooting modded single player Elder Scrolls game issues. So I got ESO with ESO Plus, I come back afte work or on weekends, I just play the game like I do a single player Elder Scrolls game - Exploring and doing quests, without the hassles that come with mods or with Bethesda breaking stable single player modded setups with unwanted updates.
