pmayes00: I havent played in YEARS but I played mostly for the narrative and this game peaked for me during the Daedric War (Morrowind, Clockwork City, Summerset) expansions. After that, I started noticing the repetitive nature of the expansions and left.

willl676: Imo Tuttle was never that great of a writer. The projects he worked on that were well written on ESO were all spearheaded and brainstormed by Lawrence Shick (of D&D and now Larian fame). You can notice the drop in quality writing the moment Shick leaves in fact.

It's so sad because omg i loved the core of this game, the fast skillbased combat etc. I still hope for a wonder and it gets better at some point. But i actually now i am delusional....

garrick3727: Stopped playing in 2022. To be fair, the game never maintained the quality it had a couple of years after launch. It declined slowly at first, with each expansion being generally good but not quite as good as the previous one. Around 2020 the decline started to speed up. I finally quit for three reasons: (1) Game clearly getting worse; (2) So many dailies the game felt like a job; (3) Too many ridiculous cosmetics that made Tamriel look like a Korean MMO. As with any live service type game, I felt much better after I stopped playing.

Cynic3018: I played high end PVP and ran a Trial guild and cleared all trial conent during 2019-2020. Played that shit on and off since 2014, i loved the pvp and the trials, but my issue is the developers. I remember that when the cyrodiil events happened all the pve roleplayers would come into cyrodiil and do quests, i would stream snipe numerous players who then reported me, got me banned and also doxxed my underage little brother all for killing them in pvp and tbagging, i would never gank only 1vx, absolutely loved the game but the community is the most deranged and the developers are equally as fucked
