GreatWhiteNinja21: I almost always go Breton and end up going for smithing and enchanting right away. I like to seek out mines and ore deposits to collect valuable resources and transmute the iron into gold ore. When we cant carry any more we head to town and smith gold items before throwing the most valuable enchantment onto the items and selling them. I like to smith Gold rings because you get 2 each time you craft them and the enchantment makes the sale price worth the resources. Plus its cool to make an epic piece of enchanted jewelry with an amethyst or ruby that you found deep in a cavern and set a theme and name for the entire set of armor depending on the qualities of the enchantments.

robrib2682: The thing about the bretons is they are not the most magically gifted, they just have human ambition mixed with the elven talent for magic (except for their resistance to magic, that probably is the result of their ancestors being ruled over as a subservient class by elvin wizards for thousands of years)

The downside of this is in universe they age like absolute milk affair bit of the time, think that person who's maybe 25 and looks like he's 50 in the wrong light.

Phatbroom: Utilizing their natural resistance to magic (50% lowered damage) and the sign of the atronach (50% chance to absorb spells) and any combo of spell resist/absorb gear can turn any Breton into all casters worst nightmare: an Anti-mage. Just don't rely on casting yourself, or you'll find yourself running out of magicka against physical opponents constantly due to the sign of the Atronach taking away your natural magicka regeneration.

Maybe I am just unaware of the general perception but Im pretty sure everyone considers then to be completely overpowered in terms of game balance and lore wise they are as interesting as the other human races imo.
