MySOAP12: ESO has always felt like a game that was supposed to have subclasses but never did to me. As far as identity goes, previously there was no way to make a traditional mage that uses fire, ice and lightening magic. But now with subclassing I can finally make a mage.
gregoryhatcher6428: ngl, multiclassing has turned out to be just as lame as I knew it was going to be. I've always loved class identity and roleplay, and I've always loved being able to fill a niche with my class in group play. Now that's severely diminished, and as long as you have herald of the tome/assassination, you don't need anything else. You get top damage for a nearly mindless playstyle. The meta only got more narrow and it's sad to see that they've doubled down on the beam meta for group content. I've decided to stay away from the whole multiclassing system for the most part. Also, huge agree that doubling grim focus stacks was a massive mistake.
grampajacks2677: I think subclassing is the laziest worst thing they’ve ever done :( completely kills the class identity.
nuarBlack: Subclassing feels like the first step of putting the game into maintenance mode. It's them giving up on class balance. Spec bow too op? Not if everyone can have it will now be their logic
SugarP576: I like subclassing, though I cant look at builds anymore. They always have either nb, or arcanist. And it's just so dull. However if you dont look at builds and meta there's so much variety to be had now. Makes me feel like Im playing more of an elder scrolls and less of a class based MMO
Aptonoth: ESO sucks now with multi classing lol. It's completely killed my will to play.
wixlynsworld1965: Lol I can't wait to start playing subclass on my PS4 this week. For me it's gonna be fun, I play my way and I always will.
WonderfullComment: MULTICLASSING NOT SUBCLASSING !
SinisterBlitzball: No game ever knows what they are doing for pvp.
SinnfullDuck: As "part of the lore" for Elder Scrolls, having classes at all is against the lore. No Elder Scrolls game has classes except ESO so going with subclassing is actually a way of moving more toward the lore. With that said, I'm glad I quit the game and this doesn't make me want to come back at all.. My issue now is that I can't find any other decent pvp mmo to play and I'm getting sick of single player games after 2yrs away from pvp.
Shadow_Ronin200: Tbh i think it's not about it being lore friendly i think it was a desperate move when it comes to the way Zos did sub-classing but that's just my guess also the way i think they should have done sub-classing maybe they should have giving each Class their own unique sub class like paladin for templer or death Knight for necro just to keep what makes the class unique on it's own
Markytous: ESO is so tired now. Animal Companion, Storm Calling, Assassination. Boom. Done. Puts me to sleep! Why have creativity when Skill Lines are so wildly imbalanced? This is an issue because Subclassing was dev admission to concede that they've given up on balance. Otherwise, they would have used their transition year to seasons to bugfix and balance the game. We didn't need another ridiculous world-shifting system. I'm tired. ESOs tiredness is contagious. Looking to see how Chrono Odyssey will turn out.
Glad you mentioned stam and mag builds to hybridized classes. Went from 12 classes with Mag/Stam, to 6 classes hybridized then to 1 class optimum class amalgam. I'm throwing up. Gross.
P.S. The BGs change from 3team to 2team format killed the game for me as it was. I can't just farm IC as the only viable nonlaggy PVP that isn't totally trashed.
mateoignacio9670: I gave up caring about the nuts and bolts of ESO, now I just go off home much fun Im having. Currently Im having fun, once the fun stops - Ill stop playing immediately.
Roxvenlove125: Really glad to see you back. The only builds I had used in PVP had been yours while you were still around and they held up even now. I'm really excited to see what you come up with subclassing.
I totally understand your break though, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want you to stick around for a while this time. I still respect your decisions either way- the game needs to earn trust from the community again.
unknownmlg4041: My opinion on the double spec bow is that the second one shouldn’t do dmg it should heal you and the first doesn’t heal it just does dmg
teebowganx: They should only allow one single line of another class, not two. And the skill line from another class should be less powerful as a subclass skill line than it is as a skill line in the base class.
TheAlphaOmegaX3: Pvp mode where no sets and limited abilities should be your jam. They have already tested it once. Anyways, been playing since launch non stop nearly. I'm freaking over the moon. I've never ran out of ideas and builds. With subclassing, my theory crafting just went over 9000! Love it. If you are a meta or bust person, every game is going to get old fast. I use totally unhinged sets that fit my build and theme, all while still pushing numbers and completing content. Also helps i enjoy tanking and healing. Also enjoy pve more so. Hopefully you can have some fun. If not, other pvp mmos are on the market.
KEVKONG360: I came back for the patch too, always loved your build videos!
KeyedGaming: I played the game for a bit back in the base game and hated it, played a bit in Morrowind expansion, still didnt like it much, and actually had some fun when Elsweyr came out but got bored when I maxed a character. Told myself if they ever killed the class system I'd give it a try again. It really sucks I need to level a character's skill lines to 50 to subclass it, but I'm having fun with my summon focused Warden Sorcerer hybrid.
With Elder Scrolls there was never really a rigid class system like this before, your class is basically your profession, what you start the game good at but as you progress, you can train in other skills and end up doing anything that interests you, so the class system was more out of touch with the previous games than anything.
dagothur2666: I'm a semi-new player to ESO, I've played it before and quit after level 20. I'm now level 42 and I'm gonna keep playing till I finish all the content. I'm a sorcerer focusing on magika and dps. I have a set of the mother's sorrow armor already, I just need any advice to boost my DPS higher than it already is. I'm getting like 1906 at the minimum in damage and 4806 to 10806 when I crit now.
Edit: I own all the expansions and the 2025 pass and ESO
simonstrand5162: Through sub classing and the armory system I don’t need as many characters anymore, so that’s a plus.
Biohazrad: great video!
dennisr1683: Great to have you back. Missed your epic BG commentary vids!
IowaRonin: That being said, I will say, "that being said" one hundred more times, so you remember that's what I said.
headahhlildude: They Wrote Lores about this long awaited ESO return
parkwah: Glad to see you back in ESO
