Maybe Its Time to Quit ESO? Elder Scrolls Online is Trash eso esopvp

vEl_Patron: Subclassing killed PvP.

monfrere7755: It's not a negative video. It's just honest. There is nothing negative about acknowledging obvious deficiencies. Your critique in this video is a slap on the hand compared to the slaps in the face the paying population receives every update.

discoN-ferno: Can’t bring myself to log in any longer than 20 min most days lately. Sad.

davidmckinley5343: I hate subclassing. It ruined the individual classes.

CrazyBasshead: Yes lets revert back to pure classes stam/mag pls but lets keep scribing and expand that system. Btw ps eu population is even worse

nathanlee6099: They made it so nothing matters. You don’t even feel a sense of progression because of the level scaling. No one needs to be healed because of self healing. You don’t need a group because you can face roll through any dungeon. The cash shop is full of gambling basically. It’s a mess. And the sad part is, we’re running out of options for those of us who love MMOs.

Hithrae: Sub-classing ruined the game. That and the lazy content is really killing it

JoaoCovre: I quit a few weeks ago. Used to play PvP (mostly bgs) and enjoyed making my own weird builds, which, despite not being meta, allowed me to compete and have fun. Nowadays, the gap between what's meta and what's not is so large that it's no longer fun.

It's depressing to see practically everyone using Hurricane, Blue Netch, and looking all the same.

lemmingiii3074: I found myself taking longer and longer breaks from ESO, and it is heartbreaking because this is where I met my wife, and my best friend. PVP broke and never recovered years ago. I feel the heart of what you are getting at: after a decade of some of the greatest times I've ever had in a game, now it's a chore that somehow does nothing more than remind me that it used to be so much better. After living with the hope that the game would improve, I've accepted that ZOS doesn't want to improve. Much like the player base now - if it's challenging, they want nothing to do with it. The new players and new devs are on the same page now: everybody's all about short cuts.

ESO_PRIME: After 10 years & 20k hours i quit ESO when subclassing & new BG’s dropped. Two horrible decisions i knew at the time. Seeing Brian Wheeler stream live & not know how to pvp & a lead combat dev was the nail in the coffin for me. I might come back when cross account is applied but i’m just not into the game anymore. Pvp was my jam but subclassing ruined the mystic of battle.

IamNycey: Game is a money grab now, it's built to cycle new players rather than keep old players, really sad

ReactFaster: Great video, think this covers how most veterans feel towards the game these days

qooq1491: You are spot-on, the magic is gone and the "devs" do their best update by update, to kill off the game

JostarKun: I´m new to ESO and started playing like 3 weeks ago. For me the game is worth playing as a new player cos there is so much content. I also play on PS5 and there seem to be plenty of people playing on Playstation atm, also because it´s free in the PS Plus Extra catalogue. I get the things with subclassing and people always just want to play meta running the same things. About the population problem I think they are working on adding crossplay to the game which can maybe revive it a litte bit :)

Varney_of_London: Subclassing has turned into a negative because balancing with the passives of certain Skill Lines and certain abilities needed to happen 1st...

They didn't do that...

So it didn't take people long to figure out Assassination/Animal Companions/Restoring Light...

There are alot of things that need fixing...

But at this stage (especially given the problems ZoS was having internally with the layoffs and work conditions) I'm not sure if they even have the capacity to address everything...

danglez18: Once they said they were done with Chapters, I knew it was the end.

systematicdecay82: I haven't played since they introduced subclasses. That was the end for me. They had already made the game boring with the constant dps increases for no reason and then subclasses increased it by another 40 to 50k and took away the uniqueness of each class.

UnfadingSilence: I completely understand the frustration — even more so as a content creator who recently came back to making ESO videos on YouTube. For me, every time I start feeling burned out or stuck with this game, the solution has always been to switch things up. That’s why I play on literally every server and every platform — NA, EU, Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

Seeing all those different communities gives me a much bigger picture of the game’s population and keeps things feeling fresh.

But if you really want to enjoy creating content again — and continue growing as a creator — sometimes the best move is to spread your wings and try something new. Taking a break or exploring other games doesn’t mean you’re done; it just means you’re giving yourself room to breathe and grow

JagJitsu: Subclassing is a big key in ESO being trash. The second Microsoft bought Zenimax/Bethesda I knew the ESO would start to die on the vine, Microsoft only care for shareholders instant money gratification not a quantity product.

Grimsforge-Gaming: I haven’t even installed it on my new pc. It’s heartbreaking to have a game you loved so much be wrecked. It’s never going to be what we want/need it to be. I don’t see them reverting subclassing or going back to 4v4v4 BGs. They will continue to say “We are listening and want to make the product you want” or “We are fixing it and expect it to function next update” just to work on whatever we don’t ask for, fail to repair said thing, and break other things in the process. Everyone should have enough receipts at this point to know that’s true and not rage bait. It’s a toxic relationship that will never be what we want it to be. (This is undoubtedly be followed with some dumb comment like “It’s their game, not yours! I swear, every pvper thinks this game should be adjusted to their liking..” or “Good riddance! I’m still having fun.” Even the way the PvP and pve communities have been engineered to hate each other is toxic.

cazgaming239: Totally agree. (PvP wise) i started playing ESO like 2-3 months before the Dark Con set came out and the sewers were just FILLED with players cause cyro was maxed out. Now it just feels like a ghost town with unkillable ball groups because of cross heals. Now its just a copy and paste subclass Ward/NB/Sorc build that is just ridiculous to deal with. Is what it is though, would come back to life probably with the pvp manager of ZOS actually played the game and had thumbs to play it. This shit is so awful..

TheStonedSensei-h5i: You didn't say anything that isn't obvious. The game developers don't care about the core of what the game was. They have manipulated it into what it is now. You are completely right the magic is gone. It sucks because this was the first mmorpg I ever played. Fell in love with the game. But it's not even recognizable. I wouldn't even play it if my friends and wife didn't like it so much. Playing it feels more like a chore now then why I actually used to want to play.

RiderShade: Exactly right on so much of this. Well said, Cujo

LvnNitemare: This take was so accurate. I used to love the game and now I find myself logging in less & less, usually for prog only. The new event was beyond underwhelming, so much so that I gave up halfway through it. Everything feels like it was phoned in, I mean completing the Subclassing quest is still bugged so you can't hand it in. I doubt at this point I'll get whatever comes next year. Why waste the money on stuff that feels barely complete. Also, you're correct, there is no real point in constantly complaining as no one really cares and nothing is going to change so why waste the breath.

SpockTiberius: PvP smh. I really tried to play this week and found it so terrible. It’s weird to see every single person with the Betty netch. I died to two things. Multiple spec bows or smashes. You are right. Years ago the PvP was so amazing. You would X a small group and get many whispers “what’s your build”. That hasn’t happened in years cause the builds have been the same for 10 updates. And now with sub classing there is 2-3 builds. That’s it. Ball groups were suppose to be counter-able by the sets they released starting with Darkcon and it just made ball groups stronger. It’s a mess. I’ve said it before. If you’re still having fun that’s awesome. Me, I just feel like I’m chasing that feeling I had 5 years ago and it’s never delivered. If we want change, cancel your eso plus (you should have no issue since the sets that are useful fit in your bank) don’t buy crowns and dlc.

brandonamsler9898: Took the words out of my mouth. Appreciate the honesty

nunitv74: 100 percent agree with everything you said .

Hit it right on the spot . Some people will get mad becuz they want to.defend there game but we too loved this game for many years but are not naive to understand the game has many unaddressed issues that the devs ignored and its just getting worse. For me is that lack of difficulty numbing down to make it easy and just not fun right now . No.sense of purpose or motivation to play with the way the game is right now not competitive by any means
