no.notfromRDR: I kinda don't understand the complain about sub classing. Is not like eso requires you to have 150k dps to do every content. Also the people complaining already go meta only, they will drop all their builds for a new meta build regardless.

GhostCutty: I started playing a week ago and have been loving the game. Ive been leveling every class to 20 before choosing a main. Loving the lore and play style of each class. Subclassing feels like the end of classes. It’s such a weird Idea to introduce into a MMO. It would have been great to expand classes/identity and maybe even revamp them. Now it feels like 1 character can be just about everything. I don’t see this as a positive long term. Imagine no more classes just skill lines. ZOS created more work and a bigger headache for themselves in the future. I hope it’s great over all and my concerns are nothing more than that…aren’t they working on a new MMO?

dennisr1683: Why even bother with "classes"? It's meaningless. If it pushes tankyness and ball group cross healing even further, sounds like a nightmare.

NeonNokt: DPS meta will be pretty much the same from what I can tell, everyone will be an arcanist but now they'll also have nightblade and necro/templar skills. And you gotta start as an arcanist since the scribing skill banner won't give you crux otherwise. Not saying there won't be other combinations (and I'm excited about subclassing and mixing and matching) but the "meta" will absolutely largely be the same as before - arcanists. If that won't be the case then it will be a happy surprise.

Having heard from those who can't wait, and those who feel this will annihilate class identity ... I shrug. Both valid. Please just bear in mind a couple points:

- stale is bad. The game is 10 years old. Fundamental change can revitalize. Good for all.

- everyone hates change. Me too. But it's still just a game. Have fun! Worry less. Especially about things beyond your control! Roll with it. (and per the video, prepare as best you can).

- yeah, I'm finalizing battleground achievements too ... those dudes are scary NOW!

leivendil: Hyped for subclassing. I will keep animal companions on my warden and add assassination nightblade and aedric spear templar. Mostly for the passives and some cool skills, like nb bow grim focus.

jrullan892: I cleaned up my skill lines to get back some skill points.. was able to have 80 skill points just for subclassing.

TD-og2yy: One thing I still don’t know for sure, is how it is with leveling the skill lines up for subclassing.

When I have a character of each class on max level with maxed skill lines, do I have them maxed for subclassing then aswell?

Or do I have to level them specifically as „subclass skill lines“?

Brian_Gawl: So, you'll need to have the skill line maxed out on one character before you are able so subclass it on another character? There are some skill lines that I would love to have but I don't like the class it comes from. I don't want to grind a class I don't like, just to get the skill line, then have to grind to level up the skill line on the class I actually enjoy.

spiritualspinster4222: I have no idea what skill lines to focus on. There will be just too many options! I'm not gonna rush it. I like to study my options check out some builds online and take my time building a character. I have 10 Level 50 characters and 2 Level 45 , so I'll have a lot of options. Right now, I'm just grabbing every soul shard I haven't gotten yet, which are only in a couple of zones.

csakzozo: Nah man... Nr of Combinations don't matter really... We already know the best skill lines. Assasination will be a must. For healers the templar one will be a must, etc. there will probably be 1 dps, 1 healer and 1 tanking meta. Probably a bit more variety in pvp...
