wizzle-: I am definitely part of this solo club. Your vids sure make ESO look so good. Interesting information here. Cheers
BjornHogni: Very good and realistic video. When I read the official forums it seems the game has only min max PvP crybabies that hate every change and update to the game. But we, the silent majority for solo players funding the game, get all the content and systems we love and want. The forum is full of players who seem to hate the game, but stay around forever for some reason.
LostHorizons0: I run a solo players guild. We get hundreds of applications each week which is a testament to how many people play solo in this game.
haydenbsiegel: I play solo because I like to listen to what the quests and stuff are about along with read the books and stuff. Playing with other people has always resulted in someone blowing through the content and as a result I have no idea what even happened. It got so bad that I restarted as a different character entirely and now I am selective about my questing so I don't get lost.
... I also don't know anyone else who actually plays ESO nor has anyone ever really tried to be my friend on ESO. So, it is the MMO that's just a casual personal indulgence rather than my hard-core game.
empoweredshemphoward: Solo player since launch right here.
joshb4211: ESO is a single player game with MMO features
mistyriennett5902: Honestly I prefer solo with minimal grouping for tougher dungeons.
I love harvesting, housing builds chasing furniture patterns and I love soloing group dungeons to see what I can do on my own, I love crafting (well actually the rewards from crafting), and most quests, and events.
bingle12765: I encourage solo players to venture out into friendly guilds. I solo every game and hate playing with people as I feel awkward but guilds have completely revolutionised the way I play. I have a cyrodil group and trials groups and it’s so fun to hop on knowing your friends are on to help each other. Would recommend 100%
villes5835: After my friends quit, i never played this in group again. I return every other expansion to try your solo-builds and do all the story content. Solo dungeons are fun to do, wish there wasn´t those "pull a level" mechanics in some dlc dungeons so i could solo them too.
debszoo52: I've been playing solo for two years now and I love it! Had my fill of drama filled guilds.
Eyran84: The few times I've tried to group content I got burned. Everyone is in a rush, and you are not allowed to play the role you like (like tank or healer). Those same players complain about the lack of tanks, well you're part of the problem.
I've been playing solo for months. Won't turn back
Royal.Grand.Majesty: Every successful MMO on the market is driven by the solo and casual players. They are the silent majority. But they are the ones who carry the rest of us on their backs and keep the game running.
Which is why you see games like WoW catering more and more to the casual players.
Lemmeso2: And this fact alone is exactly why i keep saying they need to add NPCs for dungeons like in FFXIV at least for the normal dungeons most solo players dont want to run dungeons in fear of being berated by seasoned players and as someone who has played solo almost exclusively since launch lately i decided to try my hand at group dungeons and it was all miserable experience especially trying to do dungeon quests so please ZOS add dungeon npcs for normals so soloies can complete our dungeon quests
unequalledrage: this is why i would love harder overland content! especially in main quests
marklongdon2435: ESO is unique (afaik) in regards to the MMORPG genre. The lore comers from single player games and had a massive following, therefore the majority of us that beta tested it were drawn from those games.
antbanks88: I used to play this game very much like an MMO, trying to min max as much as possible, do the absolute best I could in PVE and PVP content and was very competitive about it. Ive played off and on for years and I never really stuck with it because eventually logging into every character, doing dailies, grinding champion points and professions; it stopped being fun.
I recently deleted a bunch of characters and started over and played the game the same way I would Morrowind, Oblivion or Skyrim. Now I enjoy the game at a slow pace, doing overland quests, exploring the world and doing whatever character build I want without worrying about the meta, its been such a breath of fresh air
malurus_: i adore eso, its the only mmo i play as a single player mostly
ADarklore: It's nice to see that you're saying what I've known for years, and said for years on the forums, only to have the vocal minority of PvP and 'Endgame' players tell me I was wrong. Of course THEY want to believe they are the majority, and that ZOS should cater to them... but it was very clear to me for years that solo players needed to be the focus of ESO. Rich said in a podcast years ago, that ONE TAMRIEL was their full pivot to the 'Skyrim with friends' direction. With the addition of Subclassing, it was very clear that it was the solo players that this was directed towards, and it really pushed ESO fully into 'Skyrim with friends'. So while PvP and Endgame players are whining about it, as you stated and I said many many times on the forums, that it's SOLO players who are funding this game. It's not PvP players or Endgame players who are buying tons from the Crown store. Personally, I've spent over $10K since I've been playing- over ten years. I'm just glad that you are finally putting this out there as well.
spacecat278: Honestly, I have 700 (give or take) hours in eso and its not even that I haven't wanted to get into "endgame" stuff or anything its just that I've been content simply leveling characters, farming overworld gear and questing, I really just love existing in the Elder Scrolls world and there's something novel to me about the vastness of eso compared to Skyrim for example (I love Skyrim though dont get me wrong, easily one of my favorite games of all time). I was a semi hardcore raider in ffxiv for awhile though so I still have a meta/min max itch I scratch by watching guides though lol
seanribeiro2401: I’m a solo player that just picked this up last week and already have 70 hours
syoudipta: Introducing Infinite Archive was a game changer imo. Endgame level content for solo or duo play and very rewarding which i believe many player preferred.
I still occasionally do group content and pvp/battlegrounds. But mostly do support roles in group and don't bother about the DPS race anymore. Infinite archive with a companion is where i like to spend most of my time in this game.
BeccaTKawaii: ESO definitely has a lot of Solo content, which is great, but I feel like it needs more Solo trials, etc... I want to know what it's like to get that peak end game gear without having to group up. My GF is about the only person I truly play with other than queuing for BG and daily dungeons.
Mikes_Gaming76: I've completed everything solo and completed all the questlines in all the zones public dungeons dolmens delves lorebooks skyshards and wayshrines on all my toons which is a weird flex of a weird dedication to eso. Achievements for crafting undaunteds and vet trials.
Taarente: I have played solo for 99% of my 10 years in the game. I’m in 2 trade guilds and have some people who i’ll chat to or help out in content. I’m perfectly happy not being drawn into “guild events” I’ve gone through pretty much all zones, dungeons, trials, pvp. I like to try out soloing dungeons just to see how far i get. I’m fine just doing whatever i feel like that day. As they say “hell is other people”.
anninaut: Nice to know that someone values our (solo players, questers and lore lovers) existence and not only see us as pure annoyance in every PUG 'run'.
flyingdutchman2996: ESO is better than WOW and FF14
suep3806: Last zones questing was terrible. If they want to keep solo players, they need to be creating better content. Run here, touch that and come back for a whole expansion, or 2- just doesn’t cut it. Plus stop Doubling the nodes. Farming is not worth the time for the return.
