Shopping Cartxuce6867: I think a cool way to promote class identity would be to have skill styles that are based on your based class. Example would be a fire beam style that is only accessible if DK is your based class. Or a necromancer base class who has access to a skeleton bear if they subclass warden.
Mahalleinir: You’re preaching to the choir Kalam. I’m a relatively new player starting to chase trial achievements etc. and I refuse to be another beam build. My main dps is assassination/aedric spear/ardent flame and while it can keep up with beams if played right, it takes a lot more work and lack some of the utility. I agree this needs to be addressed. There are cases where groups will simply not consider you because you are not a beam build, and all trial tactics are centered around beam builds.
tsukuyomisama001: It doesn’t matter which class to pick when we create a new character. The subclassing ruins it all! Everyone is using the same set of abilities and gears. This game is boring af lately.
xnbk-yotiex5247: When Zos implemented subclassing, balance went out the window.
iwanboulton7205: the arcanist ruined a huge chunk of the game
1: u cant get into most vet raids as a dps without having the beam locking that content for people without the class
2: it ruined multiclassing "build diversity" since everyone is just using the beam so no there is no diveristy
3: all base classes feel left behind even necromancer which is "clunky" and the warden is abandoned dlc classes which u pay for arent worth buying
4 there are hundreds of sets in game that are abandoned if u just improved them like drozakkr claws for example it would actually make bleed builds/wardens feel at least noticeable again sets that could at least offer something to the other classes if they dont want to nerf arcanist or buff the other classes
the list goes on but for the sake of the comment section ill end it here just to give some idea of the issue
aisuru8013: I’ll say the classes need to be reworked to arc standards instead of a nerf I think about time to increase overall damage & give monsters more hp increase their defenses
PassiveParticipant: So happy to see you're still making ESO content. We're coming back!
DMfray: Relequen is not suitable for beam builds since you need to costantly light attack to apply stacks, which does not happen while beaming. Ansuul is a much better choice, also over Null Arca in trash fights.
nicotoa28: Jumped back on ESO 6 months ago, and picked Arcanist for the lore alone because Mora's one of my fav Daedra.
Hope the other classes get buffed/reworked to match it.
SaliusCy: Hi Kal. Nice build!
EssayOfThoughts: My first ever ESO character was actually a dunmer Arcanist, but I think I messed up how I statted her out; she kind of plateau'd on the damage she was doing. I was also kind of bored of the amount of Grey Grey Grey I was seeing playing through the Ebonheart Pact early game, so I made a bosmer Warden and decided to give a Blackwood start a go (back when you could pick which expansion you started in). Best decision I made. The DPS of that warden isn't great, but I made them a stamina build (for running through delves and dungeons at max speed) healer and that's worked pretty well for me so far! I love the aesthetics of Arcanist, but after the speediness of my Warden going back and levelling up that character or any of my others feels a terrible slog XD
brandonfox3424: Kalamon this is well put together video!! I like how you hit a lot of key points as to why I stepped away from the game when even TU46 hit. Arcanist has been the lead for dps since it came out, but it didnt feel like that much of a problem because other classes could slightly keep up with it. However, with sub class changes that margin has gotten even bigger, while also loosing the individuality that classes use to have. It's very frustrating to see that the devs have completely ignored feedback from build crafter like SkinnyCheeks when it has come to the last few PTS updates. Where it has been clearly highlighted and talked about that player restriction was going to be even more noticeable. The only subclass trees people take are Assassin and Dawns Wrath and everyone seems to be an Arcanist, that doesn't spell out "Play as you want" especially if you'll remain behind everyone else for staying as a pure class. That doesnt mean they need to nerf Arcanist into the ground, that would be the worst course of action, but to re-evaluate all the other classes or how to make those other classes interactions more impactful in gameplay. Apologies the rant is over, again nice looking build and as a Warden main myself, I'm to see you on the Arcanist side haha!
youtubeaccount159: It's all fun and games until they nerf the class out of the blue like they did to the necro over a year after introducing the class with the nerf to mag version of blastbones.
ori3130: Maybe easiest class balance tweak could be change aoe dot skills on every class to be shorter but tick every 0.3/1sec not 2
tyreseperrin223: How did you get your hands to have that effect
maiqthetliar: i hate this class with a passion and refuse to play it
BLVCKSCORP: Congrats on 120k, welcome to the club friend :p
Agapanthah: Great job!
Aggressiveduck: They have a new lead game dev, don't be surprised to see major changes next year, these stupid beams gotta be adjusted
MeR-md1jq: What would be a good non trial set to replace nul arca?
iShadowBEAST: What is that helm?
ZENIFUR: I just slot herald of the tome into my warden main, never really cared for the ice tree on warden tbh
ЯрославСуський: Finally I can agree with you. Except "bring all to arcanist level of power" because most dungeons and trials in game already too easy if you have many arcanist in group. Easy content make game boring! So, better down arcanist to level of other classes and down subclassing to level of pure classes...
leeturner6507: Problem with subclass is resource sustain its awful
nolgroth: It's funny but out of all the classes, Arcanist is my least favorite. Just going on a pure, no subclass build. In fact, the original four classes are my favorites, with Templar topping the chart. Subclassing muddies the water a bit.
That's not intended to take away from anybody's fun. Just my own opinion.
