Shopping CartCephaliarch: When the devs make you forget that redguards were an ancient race of skilled warriors and sailors, and instead now just know them as "the black guys", you know you've missed the mark. They've completely lost the plot.
albundy7991: Night market was nice, I liked it
BlÂtántlyØbviòusMán2u: Well...know we know why everyone getting canned.......
You can admit it Spopes
A lot of companies(Ubislop, EA, Blizzard, etc) are just trash on dont care about the passion or the players, they only care about cash shop's and overpriced dlc and just general slop
BBRocker75: Yes Spopes, that is why hundreds of them [ZoS TESO employees] GOT FIRED! I feel me sick every time i remember that LAME WALL BREAK IN SOLTICE. That was whole anticlimactic after all that camp clear effort! The new Thieves Guild quest is mediocre, the mansion situation was totally wasted, the incursions into other tresspassing places were so easy. The original Hews Bane Thieves Guild quest is so well designed, that main quest mixed with the other DLC quests so fine. To me this "thieves guild update" was 6/10. Sorry but i played Oblivion, i know WHAT IS A REAL THIEVES GUILD QUEST LINE!
margaret3239: I’ve played ESO for a few years, but never was really interested in the thieves Guild because that’s not my idea of fun stealing from people and pick pocketing. But for some reason, I decided to give it a try and I learned some new things how to be more stealthy and sneaky and some of it was challenging for me because of that .I’ve done three or four of the quests. I think they’re too long sometimes and I get tired of having to go back to the thieves guild, but I am doing it and I’m glad I’m doing it. I really don’t have anything bad to say.
hank2948: Capes we need capes!!!
WittySomething: I'll do this questline at some point, since you need to in order to get the Refuge, so not gonna watch the whole video yet. I will say, though, for people who might want to say "look the game is already suffering with the layoffs":
This questline and the Sheo one were written BEFORE the layoffs. I'm willing to bet that everything coming to the PTS in a couple of weeks ALSO was done before the layoffs. Most everything we see until probably U52 was likely either already done and just needing some touching up or mostly done.
In all honesty tho, it'll probably be the start of next year before we get content that hasn't had some level of work done with it before the layoffs happened. I'd say the first time the PTS updates next year is when we can really start judging how the smaller team is doing. Until then, too much has already been done or worked on to make a call.
Agustin-the-blood-raven: On the good side: I really enjoyed the questline and the new activities.
On the bad side: Is really short lol, we still have to wait for Sheogorath's quest but those seems to be less in number to those of the thieves guild.
Final note: I liked the quests, I missed Quen but also would've liked to see the og thieves appear again. I also would've liked if the story was a bit more grim, less on the high fantasy style of thieves. On the other hand, my main issue is the amount of content, the quality is good, I enjoyed the story, but it seems pretty short and some stuff related to the thieves guild is still not available, like the nowhere keys. ZoS can and must do better, Night Market was really good, I hope they can find the way to use the good of season 0 and season 1 for the next one and make a great season 2.
Edit: I would've wished as well that if you are discovered you either failed the mission or get penalties that affect both the overall story as well as the guild. Also also, killing, I hoped for a more hardened criminal guild that wouldn't be afraid to shed blood to get their objectives (my main toon is a nb that plays like a rogue, which means murdering, stealing and sneaking around).
jeremyw6246: To be fair, this is what people wanted. They wanted chapters to die. They wanted new and experimental. Chapters were too formulaic and we have too many zones.
The reality really, is that terrible mismanagement by Firor and taking staff for blackbird as well as money led the game down a horrible road that got worse until last year when things came to a head. This is what killed chapters.
Unfortunately this is the new reality. Small chunks at a drip. Experimental content including the new zone we're supposed to get next year though now we just don't know.
The thieves guild quest is fine. I was disappointed Quen didn't know who I was but whatever. The quest line is decent size, though not a chapter length quest line as was advertised back when it was first announced. I'm not sure what everyone was expecting.
sk8legendz: The dialogue keeps getting cringier and more regressive like it's not just the dialogue itself, it's the way it's being spoken like the characters and voice actors They're starting to choose. They're all flamboyantly over the top obnoxious, or just very reminiscent of how a lot of characters sound in little kid shows
markwaring1977: Thieves guild gone woke in a recycled Wayrest Sewers. In a nutshell. It's ok Spopes, you are allowed to say its shit. Be blunt and say what it is.
Cris1Mac: Definitely have no desire to do this. Thanks for saving me from wasting my time.
avand628: I think u were spot on with this one. Content has been underwhelming for a while, the grind is totally not worth the rewards. I'm getting really tired of the DEI vibes they keep forcing into the game. This isn't a game for the "modern audience" we want OG Tamriel. If you played the Oblivion or Skyrim thieves guild ull see the ESO one is garbage.
greorbowlfinder7078: I played some eso season 1 for a few days. Then restarted Cyberpunk 2077.
Richardx75: Im ngl i haven't even played eso season 1 at all yet
spiritualspinster4222: Well, I completed all new content on the third day and after completing all the content, my only thought was, "That's it until September?" The thieves guild questline was ok (As I happen to love sneaking) but far too short and lacking in content and story. Favors and dynamic encounters- Boorrring.
sativacation: I took a long break from this game, well maybe 2 years. I came back when I heard all the fuss about how they were trying to rekindle things with the seasons, etc. This is when I found your channel, along with a couple of other ESO content creators I was not familiar with before. This questline was not for me either, I don't care for the sneaky sneaky thief stuff but overall I have lost interest in the game after only a few months returning and it does feel exactly the way you said, like they've lost their motivation. I also feel like subclassing and one bar builds have negatively affected the way I view the game. Since the whole thing with the layoffs I stopped playing and I've begun playing Oblivion remastered, something I've had on the back burner and I have been loving it so much. The only other times in the last seven or eight years I've stopped playing ESO was for BG 3 and rdr2 if worse comes to worse and this game does go under, they will be ripping off the Band-Aid for me because I have not been able to do it myself and I've spent hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours. Also Warframe is awesome, if you decide to begin making videos for it you will have an audience.
JOHNJ0HNS: 11:50 - Yeah, this reminds me of the Night Market, where two of the three factions where led by women (and one by a big cat). I like women in games, but the disproportion in numbers is a little strange.
123PlayStr: I did the whole quest and yes even the old quest too. It took me about 2 days (after work) . I can confirm that its like any other quest nothing really too exciting sadly. Oh, and whats the point of flirting if you get rejected most of the time anyways? What also makes it sad that you can blitz through all the sneaking. At one point i just stop sneaking and fought everything in my way. There was a few missions that forced you to reset if you got caught, which they should of added that more often. Like force players to actually use the sneaking system. I'm talking to you vamps and night blades lol
richardbrookins5406: Maybe this is why they laid off half their workforce. Hopefully they were the ones who worked on it.
sergeigavrilov6965: I played my share of AC. I can’t tolerate stealth mechanics in eso. It’s just not it.
maxdamagusbroski: Recycled assets. Either knee slapping self aware "humour", or pathetically mushy nonsense. The kind of thing someone would make as a mod for Skyrim in a week for free.
ravenhawk9069: Love your content great job , you are right when your company is compared to Government Civil Service old saying 1 person working 5 watching but maybe in this case with ZOS it was true
BerntSunde: Fantastic analysis.
austinanderson862: Personally I liked the quest line. I think not releasing the sages vault immediately was a mistake that makes the quest line feel incomplete. The whole buildup is for a vault we cant touch for another month was a bad call. We have a tutorial for an activity you'll forget about by the time it drops. Even not giving us the whole questline until the activity would've been a smarter option. I dont hate the season but they could've done thought it through a little more
ЯрославСуський: I have same feeling man...
It feels like only 50 employees working on game last 2 years...
Dreadnox05: worried about the game state when guild wars 3 cames out
