ESO Guilds SUCK

PaladinSam: Hey, been struggling with faith alot recently. Been watching you for the past month or two and seeing someone so unapologetically themselves and wanting to spread the word of christ is a breath of fresh air. Kinda like seeing a side of life that I forgot about. Makes me want to go back to church. Thank you, much love and wish you all the success!

Ryujinn89: Im a Solo player since ESO came out. Iv been in many guilds and 90% of them have drama for no reason. I only stay in 1 guild for now. I would join u if I was on Playstion. I play on PC NA. Love your vids and keep moving forward.

StaryBrudnyLis187: You did the right thing. Thats why i play alone or with a work buddy

JimothyRoo: You are so awesome man. Such a positive force in the community. Great job handling this tricky situation. If I was on PSN, I’d certainly be joining your guild.

RMLArt: I’ve been in a few guilds that are super sweet and very helpful with new or vet players. Because of them, I was able to get collectibles, skins, or mounts that I thought I would never gain by being alone. But now I’ve moved on and I’m in a bunch of trading guilds to save up money for when new update arrives.

Craignelsun: I’ll will be in your guild

mattywells: You did the right thing. I pretty much keep to my PSN & Discord groups anymore. I have like 3 guilds that I have little to do with aside from the random guild chat PUG here and there. These days I like keeping my network small & tight.

silaf1496: I actually got some of my messages censored on ZOS forums for no reason. When you ask why they tell you to read the forum rules even if you diden't violate any of them. I even asked my guildmates and chat GPT if i did violate the rules and all of them confirmed they coulden't find where or why.

BellaRigelOrion: That was wrong of the banned GM to put you in that position to begin with-they needed to accept the consequences for their own actions.

As someone who used to just own a Bible, to one who now reads it every single day, I am nowhere near the watered down Christian I once was. You're correct in stating that it depends on where one is in their walk, and hopefully that former GM will learn from this and accept total responsibility for the ending of the guild.

Bless you & your wife for learning in this moment and best wishes for your new guild! I'd gladly join if it was on Xbox, but if cross play ever happens, I am there!

jldyr2: I've been in a few guilds in ESO and other games. Won't ever do it again in any game.

BillyMcArthur-bl5wb: You did the right thing and never doubt yourself on it. That said if the guild opens up to PC users keep a brother in mind

Coffee-24-7-4life: Dude, you have a awesome wife!

neural--narcotic8351: Bold strategy cotton let's see if it works out

Bedlm_ESO: Got my own guild with a bunch of old accounts of people who don’t get on anyone. 12/10 would recommend.

Easy house travel. Big bank. No drama. Just me. Isn’t an easy living but someone’s gotta do it

bigcountry4301: I run a guild on xbox and the other guilds im in, are utility and trading and don't get involved with their mess to often.

RedneckGamingChannel: The worst part of ESO guilds is the "Trade guilds" which are required to sell anything...unless you want to stand in the street and shout it out. It's a mentally deficient system, and why I eventually quit the game

PhoenixRizing25: Best of luck with your guild. I'd love to join but I'm on pc.

PxNxWxGxW: Ive seen some of the most vile things and wholesome things in ESO guilds.

scarriefeyre: I think you did the best thing you could, they brought that upon themselves, God covered you through your wife<3

cherrycola4476: Spopes this is insane! I believe i was right next to our old guild leader (in zone chat) when it went down. Right after I DMed them pleading with them to reconsider the things they were saying and telling them this isn't what Jesus has taught us but they didn't believe me and kept saying "we can't let evil people do evil things" the timing that i met them when getting into ESO and getting to meet you before all this went down was such a blessing bro. You're a class act

NickDeCourcey: I hate it when people say you have to accept everyone even when they do bad things since you're a Christian. Never be a push over as a Christian, always be respectful but also be strong and defend yourself from evil people trying to use your religion as a weapon.

randomguy-p6s: Sounds like you did the upstanding thing

Carter7452: I thought you handled the entire situation extremely well.

gokufirespit8418: I was a member of that guild too (for like a week). I had been talking with some members about how shady the GM was being about the ban evasion. Most of us agreed that the guy was acting very suspicious and that you were not in the wrong for not engaging with someone who was ban evading.

It’s not worth it to risk it all to try and help someone who fucked around and lost it all. I think you’re right to not name names, I will follow suit because I agree it would be petty and would be senseless.

For anyone curious about what the GM was saying about Spopes, it was basically just spam messages in the guild chat exclaiming that Spopes was “refusing to give the guild back to him”, but would only go on to basically explain that it was because Spopes was (rightly) not willing to engage with risking his account to help someone ban evading. There wasn’t any worse slander than that (that I am aware of, at least), so thankfully this situation wasn’t as messy as it could have been, although it was definitely still a wild time.

P.S. Your words on not being able to trust people based solely off of a shared demographic is wise advice. It sort of reminds me of this one quote I heard. I just found it online so I could get it right, but I still don’t know who it belongs to.

A Rabbi is teaching his student the Talmud, and explains that God created everything in this world to be appreciated, since everything is here to teach us a lesson.

The clever student asks "What lesson can we learn from atheists? Why did God create them?"

The Rabbi responds "God created atheists to teach us the most important lesson of them all -- the lesson of true compassion. You see, when an atheist performs an act of charity, visits someone who is sick, helps someone who is in need, and cares for the world, he is not doing so because of some religious teaching. He does not believe that God commanded him to perform this act. In fact, he does not believe in God at all, so his acts are based on an inner sense of morality. and look at the kindness he can bestow upon others simply because he feels it to be right."

"This means" the Rabbi continued "that when someone reaches out to you for help, you should never say 'I pray that God will help you.' instead for the moment, you should become an atheist, imagine that there is no God who can help, and say 'I will help you.'"

ImPoStier: I’ve not even had a warning in 10 years, I know so much people that have been banned, I don’t get it
