Shopping CartBigHank26: Imagine if ESO Devs would do what osrs Devs do. They don't make any changes without the community voting on whether things should or shouldn't be brought into the game etc. ESO would be booming if it was run like that imo. Also it would stop them always having to apologise haha
samuraichicken2315: Matt Firor: deals with criticism with the same outlandish bullshit about what an amazing next year we're going to have.
Nick Giocomini: deals with criticism with the same set of apologies before promising what an amazing next year we're going to have.
What they both have in common is that neither are actually speaking to the players..... their messages are for Microsoft. They want Microsoft to think that things are going to get fixed next near.
ZOS's word is garbage. They need to start acting before I start believing what they say.
ChurlishChud: As long as subclassing is in the game, I'm out. Oh, and bring back the 3-team BGs too.
AtherusMora: Quit ESO, and switch to Where Winds Meet. Stop believing in the false promises of venture capitalist that are only interested in managing spreadsheets to maximize profits, and minimize dev efforts/ work load.
SirKevok: Im playing more eso and watching less youtube lately.
evancalgary7684: all talk and no action was the entire last year of communication during that disaster of a content pass im not spending money untill i SEE drastically better quality moving forward
cat_astronaut_: That millionaire man in South Park apologizing while drinking wine
somrow55: Microsoft has delivered so many brutalities and fatalities recently, I'm scared for ESO.
DR-sv8ke: I love The Elder Scrolls games but I'll never touch ESO.
GodsFirmament: Eso is trash now
kayef5724: RIP
getsome122: the biggest thing here is every time they introduce something new they release something that we fall in love with and incorporte in to our game play and then when they release the next new thing they nerf the dog shit out of the last thing to make it irrelavant so the new system or whatever is the way to go. and we have to change how we play everything yet again.
Scribing came out, had some great skills in it. Then they decided to screw up everything with subclassing and nerf the crap out of not only scribing skills but skills from every useful class line because they as usual didn't think things thru and made subcalssing stronger than they wanted it. So in that movement they killed pure classes.
Subclassing cost them big time in player base. Why in the hell do they think making changes to all the classes over the next two years is a good idea? I know i am personally tired of having to change everything about my characters every three freaking months. Just stop. the meta is already narrow enough. Everything they do has had the opposite effect from what they thought it would. Fix and finish theh things that have been half ass done over the past decade and stop with the "next new thing" or "total reworks". They are literally making the game worse every time they think they are giving us what we want and the player numbers prove that. Look at the amount of loss going back all the way to U35. The down hill trend started big time then. And they have just continued to chip away at the player base with bad decision after bad decision since then. And every time they say "we are listening to your feedback" and then make changes that make no sense. I used to be a total ESO fanboy. Have dropped so much money in this game it's ridiculous. And now i struggle to ome back for more than a few months at a time before they make some changes that make me need a break from the game for a while. And every time players like me do that- that's crowns that aren't being bought which is their biggest profit stream thru the year since the majority of dlc gets bought for the year at a certain time frame.
l-_-sage-_-l: Yupp, communication is a great start. Now let’s see if he can get the money needed from these greedy mfers to make the game what it should be. This is what I was commenting before about working on the existing game instead of just pushing a new theme tied to gambling crates. There’s other ways to make money that don’t devalue the game for players. Crates are the reason a lot of players have quit the game & it doesn’t increase in player base. The profit strategy of ESO is to milk the existing players in a way that does not encourage new players to commit to this game. Those cosmetics should be in the game locked behind the annual DLC & the profit strategy should be about longevity. Players gained is more profit annually off dlc & ESO for years to come.
For example, instead of trying to milk an existing player for $1000 off gambling crates they should be trying to add 4-5 players that will profit them that $1000 this year plus years to come. If they lose the one player they’re just on a loss vs the second scenario that promotes growth. The games issue is a top down shortsighted leadership issue based on quick money grabs instead of long term growth. If investors want a quick money grab they can flip real estate, invest in apps etc, there’s no need for that behavior in an mmo.
mikeyc4525: People need to understand, that changes that we may want can't be changed by just flipping a switch. Stop expecting things to happen over night.
AtherusMora: Quit ESO, and switch to Where Winds Meet. Stop believing in the false promises of venture capitalist that are only interested in managing spreadsheets to maximize profits, and minimize dev efforts/ work load.
