realityaskew: Sounds good. I tried the subclassing and found myself going back to the same ones over and over. Last night I decided to go back to my pure Dragonknight and this news is very welcome.
Cooperharley0204: So my thing is, after 11 years, is that I know for a fact how good they are at marketing changes, upcoming events, etc.
They haven’t walked the walk in YEARS. Look at how they pushed this event just for it to be terribly buggy and just dailies on repeat? They have absolutely no track record in recent memory to give the community a reason to have faith.
Not even cautious optimism here. They need to be specific and they need to really knock this out of the park as pretty much everyone has left. Even then, idk how much this would bring back players because outside of the combat there’s just so many fundamental issues with this game whether it’s item set bloat and gearing, long term incentive, story quality decay over time, etc.

2shoes155: I recently played Diablo 2. I wish they would make necromancers more fun to play. Summoning disposable skeletons from corpses would be a fun gameplay loop. No timers, no duration. Notice one of your four skeletons has died you just summon another one. I’m getting PTSD from keeping track of all the buff and dot timers in this game.

Sub classing did not bring about new and fantastic styles, just the same meta combination that everyone gravitated to; that vastly outperformed pure class players.
Now to be buffed as an pure class player to match sub classed players.

Mortiel: Honestly, I haven't much played much in the last couple years but have been playing since beta (as Raisins the monkey reminds me)... And I honestly am not a fan of subclassing in general. It was painfully obvious people would inevitably pick 3 meta abilities to min-max. I've no problem with min-maxing, but that just homogenizes classes too much.
Also, frankly I've been a bit back and forth on the change that was made a looong time ago to do the hole "every class can play any role". I liked before, for example, when the DK could only be tank or DPS (never a healer). It made each class feel more special and would be amazing with more recent-ish additions like the Armory.
Raphtor13: Sounds like they are going to try and fix what they broke with subclassing by screwing it up more. Can't we just go back to NO subclassing??? It was a bad idea and a cheap 'trick' to use rather than providing proper content. This game is dead.
Deruzejaku: Cooking is overstatement. There is a lot of corpospeach clad in some general information about approach to creating class which should be the approach in the first place.
Still got can make skills look the part, but with zos approach to balance that 6 won't do anything interesting anyway.
If you want to balance everything easiest way of to make things the same. So I don't expect any real fixes
Spanners_the_Monkey: Class identity when they want all clases to heal, tank ir dps ... what a joke.
Jack-The-Gamer-: I would add a new undaunted passive that gives you 10-15% to all stats if you have 2 skill lines from the same class, and 20-30% if you have 3(mono-class).

FricknA: I think the class sets in the Infinite Archive should give benefits/bonuses to pure classes. Most of the sets are underwhelming anyway.
winsome2.o: After spending the last few years making the characters not unique and all hybrid a little return to what made this game so awesome is a welcome path. Might make me try to stay and play.
paulc5389: Players aren't going to come back before things are fixed. If they can't make these changes within 3 to 6 months as well as introducing veteran over land they run the risk of Microsoft deciding the game isn't worth their money and going the same way as new world.
I appreciate the new team have inherited a massive mess to fix. But unfortunately they're on the clock here.
eyn85: IF its true then it will be great for me since I am always pure class in any game...D&D onlines manages decently the pure class/multi class stuff...every pure class gets an "capstone" which gives an great unique pure class skill for each one and some passive bonuses

WildharpieECW: If they don't fix the Pure Classes I migth quit it just not fun anymore. Sub Class sucks, I want pure classes again and also need them to give us more gear set that works not the same ones.
vAaron-X: sounds decent, now just hoping for a graphics overhaul some outfits look like theyre painted on your character, and more focus on group content because everything group wise is boring atm and theres no reason to play in groups/dungeons/trials

Midgard24: I'm cool with this, would be nice if they came out with class change instead of just race change and gave us a few free ones. Also would like this to domino into a gear set update fix which I had an idea I posted about where its like Diablo 4 where you can take rare material and change one of the first 4 bonuses of a set piece. I am glad I haven't redone my builds in awhile so I can hold off until first update lol
SpI089: Nerf rally cry, nerf arca, revert subclass, nerf cross healing ball groups. Would be 70% better!
