Fletch55: As someone that often gets things from the store as a 'newer' player who missed out on things in the years past, I was happy they brought in the Gold Coast Bazaar because it allowed newer players to get things that were previously 'exclusive'. The same feeling towards the crown store showcase - It lets you see what's coming out in advance, so you can get the things you really want. In lou on not having a way to purchase anything at any time, which is the true answer in my opinion and always has been, it was vital to know what to look out for and not miss it.

Now that they are taking something so simple away, that could take a minimal amount of time but I would have to imagine helps boost their sales in the store, it's not just a slap in the face but also a sign of things to come. I hate saying that, I want to be optimistic because I love the game, but if they can't have someone spend 30 minutes a month writing a blog post and re-using 90% of the wording from previous ones - How can I trust them to come out with quality, regular, content in the game itself in the future?

And killing the future comings to the crown store also doesn't make sense by the same questions above.

joshieecs: I think it's a bit of a middle finger to the bosses for all the layoffs. The showcase is ultimately an advertisement to promote Crown sales. The showcase emails were probably a big hook for occasional players. They have definitely got to me a few times, logging in to grab something when I was otherwise on a break from ESO.

Lerch2000: All older titles undergo streamlining to reduce costs and increase profits to stay afloat. I get the logic behind this to some degree, but reducing features in a title also reduces appeal to newer players.
