Shopping Cartkaworunagisa4009: As a pure Nightblade main, I don't trust them. At all.
uncivilized371: Hot take Jake's dad jokes are saving ESO!
Jack-The-Gamer-: I would make a new Undaunted passive that gives you 10% to all stats if you have 2 skill lines from the same class, 20% if you have 3 (mono-class).
gabrielsantanavideo2: We REALLY need something like "Class Specialisations" skill lines (or they can call "Masteries"), with 2 options per class, but we would have to CHOOSE JUST ONE of them. Each "Class Spec" could be really simple, it could be just a skill line with 3 active skills, 1 passive skill, and 1 ultimate skill. And these "Class Specs" skill lines could bring back some of the original class identities, but also bring some common RPG archetypes that we dont have in the game (but making sense with TES lore).
- For the Sorcerer, we could choose --> 'Pyromancer' (Fire-Mage) or 'Maormer Mage' (with a Storm/Sea water theme)
- For the Templar --> 'Cleric' or 'Paladin'
- For the Warden --> 'Druid' or 'Shaman'
- For the DragonKnight --> 'Barbarian' or 'Warmage' (a tank mage)
- For the Nightblade --> 'Ranger' or 'Corsair/Pirate' (this spec could have a sword combat-style with one-hand, like a duelist)
- For the Necro --> 'Lich-Lord' or 'Warlock' (this necro spec could summon a little crowd of minions)
- For the Arcanist --> 'Dwemmer-Tech Engineer' or 'Alchemyst' (like a Chemistry-Mage, with the themes of poison and toxic substances)
alondracamarena1809: I wish instead of subclassing they had released a class change token. There's people that made characters before warden, necromancer, or arcanist came out that are probably attached to said characters, and might think one of the new classes suit them better. And it'll be helpful for the future should zos release more classes.
Also, my brother and I were thinking that instead of this subclassing, there could've been a new skill line added to the existing classes, giving more/new abilities that would suit them, like different animal summons for the warden class as an example.
sivaldragnfrid3708: I think that regardless of the changes they make to the class system they need to implement a class change token in the game and gift everyone at least one when the update releases in order to allow you to change if your old class no longer suits your playstyle
Павел-т2г1н: Great news!
What I would really like to see is some minor details in the main quest (with the Prophet) change depending on your class (and your race?). Even a couple special lines in the dialogues along the way would be REALLY nice.
daveirwin6903: I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with!
Zerel: All this effort to clean up the bed when it would have been better to not shit it to begin with.
NotLizzy: It feels like they just dumped subclassing on the game so they had something shiny to put in their reports and now they're going to spend goodness knows how many resources and how much time gluing what they broke back together, while meanwhile, all the other longstanding issues (PVP) remain neglected.
LefauFay: It would be nice if each class and also the race (different movement animation) had its own identity, but I don't know how they will achieve it when we have a subclass here. For example, I would like my Sorcerer High Elf to feel more like a sorcerer. And the High Elf race would be nice if it also had its own style/movement animations…
Oxy80111: Subclassing legit pushed me away. I had really gotten into the game in the last couple years, even went out and bought all the collectors editions i could still find, I really enjoyed the game. It already felt like all the classes were very similar, especially with some many common skill line skills being powerful. It got to the point that switching between my different characters/classes didnt really feel all that different. In my opinion class identity was already hanging on by a thread, and then they announced subclassing and i immediately said "well guess im done with ESO". Not a fan of classless design in MMOs or even really any team based game, i like feeling like i have a particular role on a team, otherwise i would just play solo/single player.
Really excited to see they are taking a look at addressing the problem, even if i lack trust in them to pull it off in a way to that would be satisfactory to me. Always loved your videos and the dad jokes, huge blessing for the community. Thank you!
imsalty9761: They broke the current system and want full credit for trying to fix the mistake they created how original
Valgaarv: I wish to see a necromancer actually summoning minions u.u
heathervelazquez3068: The idea of Zos nerfing anything else has me on edge; the nightblade nerf was incredibly frustrating for me. Why give us something if they're just going to take it back!? What I think Zos should do instead is add a buff or bonus (or multiple to choose from) for pure class builds, to bring them closer to the level that subclass builds get to.
the12deel: I'm here for the dad jokes
DarkRictor: I really hope I don't have to change all 20 of my characters!
They are almost all Roleplay characters, like the three ESO Heroes & the Five Companions. These have fixed weapons & combat styles.
I'd love more Sword & Board options for DPS, Spell Swords, and/or single hand duelist!
More Skill Styles that change things, like the Sorcerer's pet to other themed pets. Example: Dwemer pets!
genemodified787: Hey, i think they need to do some more "testing" after 10 years. Maybe if they test cyrodiil one more time it'll work. LOL
terratheterribl: I straight up asked for this in the survey, it seems they're taking the community advice alot more, happy to see
TheHikingReader: As others have already commented, I think my biggest concern is I've spent a lot of time tweaking builds and chasing gear and really don't want to go through it all again due to big changes to classes and skills.
At the same time though, I still think this is a very valid topic and classes definitely just seem to blend together with the amount of subclassing now. I think others have already commented it would be nice to see pure classes get some kind of bust where the subclassing becomes used more for utility. "I like this class, but I'd love to have these other skills or passives to fit my needs or playstyle."
JonathanBiller: Give u props for still playing this game is played this for years but now its the same shit every year even the holiday events are the same every year cant get new winter ir halloween rewards its the same shit for the last 10 years there is no point playing the events
rikku942: There really should just be buffs if you stay monoclassed. I'm not sure what numbers I'd pick but passives should be more effective on single class builds.
InfoSquad: I don't understand why zos doesn't just remove all the classes and then let you pick 3 skill trees. Then that's what makes up your class similar to how Archeage did it. Any combination of three skill trees has its own name. Now you have 3000 classes or something crazy. And it's a lot closer to what the other elder scrolls titles did for their skill system.
breitsight3167: So... the team responsible for the current state of classes and combat are also the ones now responsible for fixing it? that always works well.
Qutna: This is a wait and see.. but after so much BS.. and Solstice... my expectations are at it's lowest.. so they can't disappoint me anymore.
This is gonna be a win for them... or the final nail in the coffin...
mathisfun13: I think sub-classing would have been okay if they only let you switch out 1 skills line instead of 2. By letting you change 2, you entirely lose the identity of the class.
danielreplogle9352: I don't know if a pure class would need anything complex as a bonus - in return for focusing on 1 class and gaining experience with 1 class' abilities - you gain an across the board percentage buff to all 3 class lines. Subclassing removes the buff
