juliusscott8539: One bar builds are the only way to go when you are solo and normal and maybe vet stuff..two bar build for all push Scoreboards vet and hard mode trials runs. You can you this build to do all overland and normal dungeon. I am using a two bar build right now and I am going to switch to this build much much easier for me to have fun.
DmCNoki: "Everyone Is Switching To This One Bar Arcanist Build!"? - not even a good joke! A good build for disabled people and I do not mean this in a negative way. But for everyone else I suggest learning the game for a two bar build that will do more damage...
evancalgary7684: for oakensoul btw one of the leads is on murkmire but if you do not own murkmire or sone want to grind it the infinite archive is selling one of the leads
danielcraig2010: Love your builds and I know you test a lot, but there is an error here where you leave some stats on the table. The Helm should be medium weight and the belt should be light as there is a resistance difference between the belt and helm unlike a helm and shoulder.
dyattz: Kool and all but it's waay better if u drop oakensoul and backbar relentless focus, concealed weapon and siphoning attacks - now u're benefitting from 2 additional abilities for free (Ur faster! Ur constantly regeneration hp, mag and stam) and all u need to make up for oakensoul is using spell power pots instead. Slot piercing mark on Ur front bar for nb dps passives.
Build does like 125k dps 1 bar, no oakensoul
auretioustaak6579: Your video has been up for about an hour and there are 4 comments below mine all negative. So I'll post a query/feedback comments eparately, but to the negative comments now and in the future:
Some dbag going on about how the build is for disabled people - screw you mate, wait till you get old and arthritis starts kicking in. You won't be disabled but by the gods will your hands hurt to the point of not being able to play for extensive periods of time. Heck, old by gamer standards begins in your 30's, if you've been gaming your whole life your effgective hand age is significantly more advanced then your actual age. The studies out there o this are fairly conclusive. Pro-gamers are on an entirely different level to boot.
One bar builds help deal with those issues and are also way more relaxing to play then 2 bar builds.
Also, It's in the description of the video - one bar build, don't like em, don't rage because it makes you look like a child. Then we get to pat you condescendingly pat you on the head and have a good giggle at how sad your life is that you have to carry on as if your approach to gaming is the only relevant one. There there little person, it's ok to rage, but no one cares.
To the person saying ditch oakensoul and have a 2 bar build - that's a 2 bar build, not a one bar build. Great addition to the build you suggested but it's a different play style entirely.
The person stating 'Another PvE Build...', a lot of people play PvE, the game has pvp, but it's not central to the game. Yes, believe it or not, people are taking positives away from this build and appreciate the effort and indepth explanations.
showaker4755: I'm just trying to figure out why you went staff over dw. yes i know you get 12% bonus to direct damage and channeled but does that really outweigh having nirnhoned offhand? Plus you get the 6% weapon and spell damage and 15% bonus damage if attacking immobilized, stunned, or silenced enemies. Then the additional buff based on weapon type. Since you opt for staff I'm assuming crit rate is already high enough do not need daggers so you could go swords to further increase weapon and spell damage or mace to increase crit damage. Or even mace for penetration assuming you're playing solo you don't have a tank or healer to buff your penetration.
Patriot-nr9en: Fantastic video. Thank you for this trove of information. To a noob like me this is gold. Look forward to subclass coming to console. Also, looking forward to the grind for all of the gear.
auretioustaak6579: @Xnode Gaming,
I'm 22 days into my ESO gameplay. Just shy of 300 Champion points, 3 characters at 50 including a gatherer (working on scrying now to unlock the mythics, boy is that tedious and frustrating) but your Banner.
How do we go about actually unlocking that skill in the first place? Not creating it, it is under scribing...is there any trick to that to get the banner or what? Absolutely no idea here.
I'm loving the one bar builds that can solo all the pve content or play in group play. Us newer players have a long way to go on grinding champion points still and lots of content to suck up and enjoy, but a lot of stuff isn't always obvious.
Your video is awesome, it breaks down a lot of the information that isn't obvious when y0ou don't have an indepth understanding of the game and how the differing damage pools interact, so this aspect of your video especially, is helpful.
deathshade777: Please to god don’t follow this build. No stamina sustain at all. You’ll be dry on all boss fights with no way to restore it while using a lightning staff
the12deel: Let's do this, thanks for a great video
DrNoxic: Nice video and build. I have one question do i have to main an Arcanist or can i main a nightblade or templar as they both use the same skills?
Royal.Grand.Majesty: What is the optimal race for this build?
jeffedwards949: What about velothi instead of oakensoul? Damage wise
devotedg4: what skill can we substitute for shock banner if not yet unlock banner? until we can get scribe in july
SugarP576: I find 1 bar builds boring, and I've seen so many people with arcanist and assassination trees that it's kinda a turn off to use either of them even if it's meta. Any suggestions on what I can mix and match with necro (since that's what I like playing) that dont use either of these?
axmix-0379: I physically hate the book beam and how strong it is. It has no right to be this strong. Ever.
Infinigeek-Host-Zero: Nothing that is passive on both bars that is only slotted on the back is active while oakensoul is equipped?? Jw
zacheryfowler9159: Just a minor correction, flail is not buffed by deadly strike. Channelled and cast time are not the same thing
carolinec2073: Heh, this is so cool, you and I basically came to the same build on our own... like, Minor Resolve - I went through each one of those and was like, nope Oaklen for that, nope Oaklen for that, nope Oaklen for that, etc, then finally Minor Resolve lol. I also use a Flair / Fatecarver and Pragmatic is so much better for the reasons you explained. And I also set it up with Aassassin tree with Relentless Focus lol.
drewb9911: Having minor prophecy on your team wouldn't increase your crit any further. You're already getting minor weapon crit from nightblade passives. The game uses the highest of your two crit stats, like wpn dmg or spell dmg. This can be significant because if you're using a stamina wpn dmg potion, it is only "Major Savagery", not also the mag equivalent. Someone only receiving minor prophecy in their build would want a source of Major prophecy to ensure their crit was as high as it could be. If you're getting Major Savagery in your build and minor prophecy, the minor prophecy is effectively being wasted as an unused stat.
carolinec2073: Deadly set is so so amazing as an Arcanist. I've been playing on something similar to this, but with Deadly and Pillar of Nirn, since Beam has so many damage ticks that can proc Pillar of Nirn. Question for ya: What set would you use if you don't want to swap out the Tide-Born if you pvp since Tide-Born's 5 piece is 12% to monsters?
EpicMadlad: As someone that just came back to the game... staff users are running stamina now?
elosefast: Sef-i-lark is how I pronounce the flail
carolinec2073: Question I got regarding Oakensoul and Inspired Scholarship. Since you are only getting half the benefits from Inspired Scholarship, would you deal more DPS by switching Inspired Scholarship out for a DOT that can work while you Fatecarve? Elemental Blockade? Imperfect Ring? I did that but haven't tested the DPS difference. Just curious.
Pr3d4tor89: Thank you for that guide:)
