Shopping CartBerntSunde: I hope they fix classes, subclassing was a bad, bad idea
Bengamey974: I'm curious of what they will reveal on january 7 and what their new formula will be. Really hope they will rebound.
Agent-di4mc: If they removed sub classing and instead added a class system for the classes would’ve been a better move. For example night blade could’ve formed into an ranger/assasssin, dragon night could’ve formed into a gladiator/ Templar , ect. Mixing classes was never gonna work and requires nothing but nerfing which in returns ruins all classes by default. They should’ve just added class paths instead of mixing them.
lazymadness4924: About classes and especially Subclasses, I thin the whole system of subclasses must be done like in oldschool Lineage 2, if you know you know
And Scribing is honestly dissapoint me, they should add a lot more skills in it
MikeDarken: there is no future!
IdanRubin-Digital: People are not into hope anymore.
Paying for the 2025 content was the final straw.
We should not pay for something that is not good anymore.
We are the problem, just let it die.
SaliusCy: Great video Kal. I agree with your thoughts and perspectives. I was one who was very excited about Subclassing. It allowed me to be very specific with thematic builds and I like that freedom. However, with the announcement of their plans to elevate solo class builds to the level of the Arcanist, I am now excited to see how that will play out. At first glance, it looks good.
I always appreciate your perspectives and am looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish in 2026.
Keep up the great work!
Keristan_aka_christianhulen: I am hoping for a good year. My sister and I started playing on Xbox about a year and a half ago, and we are still having a blast.
However, I am hoping for a solution to ball groups and especially those pesky 65k HP tanks in PvP zones. But still, I have fun as a semi-casual player running around the Imperial City.
Also, I just found your channel a day ago and it's a lot of help. Thanks!
Cooperharley0204: 2025 was an extremely detrimental year for the game. Calling it a transitional year, in my honest opinion, really isn't doing it justice. I'm cautiously optimistic with the new leadership team for sure, but man, the event was miserable and we got very, very little content relative to a normal year. January 7 will be eye opening, but we need action and not just words from them.
irishsage2459: Transitioning isn't always for the better. Such as a game going into the transition to maintenance mode.
currentlykent4593: I got the new chapel at julianos today. Made a point not to preview it before I got all the event tickets and pieces together. Pretty blown away with how awesome it is. Writhing wall event got me the cold harbor estate as well. Almost a year in and I’m still really enjoying the game. I guess ignorance CAN be bliss
Sam-pb8ym: I skipped this event but i agree with everything in the first bit. One of my favorite things about TES games is the RP element and class identity goes well with this. I wish they had class quests or single skills were rewarded to mix and match. Also hope we can someday train and mold companions. Still a huge missed opporunity there. To your final thoughts, i wish they could tell us more about why Cyrodiil cant be fixed. I would also love a video on building a roof in housing...this is stumping me right now lol. Good stuff and Merry Xmas Kal!
Falk1987: They said this year would be a transitional year cuz they wanted to switch up the format, so we still got a new Zone but that it wasn't the plan everytime going forward since they wanted to focus on QoL improvements to the base game, and add new stories to older zones to breathe life back into them, which I'm all for. However, if we do get another transitional year next year since this one didn't go as intended, I hope they finally give us one of the Skyrim Zones we've wanted for so long. Whiterun or Winterhold.
elosefast: I for one loved the coldharbour aspects of Solstice. Im a big fan of unique zones like coldharbour and desdlands and apocrypha. It breaks the monotony of all the forest/island type zones that most of the game is comprised of
Tactical_Dad92: If they said they were going to revert hybridization and put subclassing on the same playing field as pure classes I would be soooooo happy! I miss those days.
chocolips6345: I thought Solstice was too small for an entire year of content, but it is beautiful. I loved the dungeons. I'd rather stick my head in the toilet than do vOC again! OMG that is painful! Plus armor sets from OC are meh. Furniture is beautiful but still too expensive to buy recipes. The wall event was tedious and contrived leading up to the breaking. Doing the fort after the wall broke was pretty fun!
I love your Christmas lights "scarf". You look sexy festive!
eliteoldguy5909: They need to look at GW2 for server wide events, WoW for dungeons and gw1 for subclassing
GaryMiller-v2d: One thing I’m no fan of is the lazy difficulty design using one hit mechanics to make content harder
Grizzly.Daniko: Man, I hate the idea of subclassing so damn much that I haven't even unlocked it on a single character. I've also never played a game of ToT and doubt I ever will.
reid2826: I'm really divided on subclassing. In theory, it's very Elder Scrolls being able to make your own custom classes. But man, the constant spam of arcanist/assassination/x builds is old. Compounded by the fake role queues and 3/4 of your group in a rando vet dungeon are the same build... Yeah idk they need to do something
Trigarta: Good review, for the most part I agree with you. But when it comes to dungeons, I just despise Mythic style. I agree that we need something to keep dungeons interesting but introducing some annoying affixes to deal with can not be the way. I really hope ESO never goes down that route.
Sunport as a town was just bad. Having Guild Traders behind a door and crafting stations behind a door is making me never going back there ever again. It's like they forgot how to make a good and efficient town layout.
Subclassing, to me, was probably the worst design decision they ever took. They now have to rework all classes just to try to rectify this enormous mistake. Balancing is in shambles and they barely did anything to alleviate that.
Solstice as a whole, the island, is okay. Nothing special but not the worst. I did like the MSQ for the most part.
The writhing wall event was...well, I'd rather not say anything more.
albundy7991: As long as they stop adding stuff no one asked for and revert 2025 and treat it like a bad fever dream
Dezhavu13: The drop rate has been bad throughout 2025 in all zones. The evidence? Green and blue recipes only having a few listings and those being at amazingly, stupidly high prices. Now granted I have a horrendous RNG on all my toons, but no purples at all running four of them through the Necrom Alleyway is a just sad. Ditto for a ton of delves and low-level dungeons that I can solo.
As a furniture crafter/seller, I am also not thrilled with the rapidly rising price of furniture mats that a so-called increased drop rate has not curtailed. (Suggestion: Allow furnishing mats to drop from deconning items.) No one seems to want to buy furniture for the cost of what it takes to make it.
MeowCat-t5x: As a long time GW2 player, I would say ESO has better graphics and lore. I level so slooooow because I enjoy roaming around maps doing story and made myself bitten by a bloodfiend. As a vamp bosmer and a kajit ally, I usually insta kill some NPC altmers just because I hate some of them LOL.
Jax_West_13: game looks and runs like a potato i love the elder scrolls but eso aint it
