dinokstrun8948: Zenimax Online Studios are hated because everything they do is just pure low passion crap. Subclassing is heavily disliked, game play has become stagnated and boring, nothing feels fun anymore, class identity is dead, the new zone looks like lazy slop and the writing for the last several major updates are forgettable at best. Just feels like the theme for a lot of Western studios now. ESO PvP was fun back in the day (pre subclassing/hybridization). There's no hope for these devs to turn this game around.

Jkend199: This happens in so many games... I don't know how many of you know Mechwarrior. I played Mechwarrior Online for a couple of years and in the beginning it quite good. You see different mechs had different weapons setups this one can take lasers and missiles, that one is ballistic weapons and missiles, so on and so forth. As the in-game timeline progresses more and more mechs and weapons are introduced, well, so what, you can "customize" the old mechs to keep pace... Problem is that in the later stages of the timeline certain weapons are introduced that are clearly "the best" and those weapons don't fit on every chassis so the "meta" becomes play the small number of Chassis that can use these "clearly the best" weapons. You go from a game with tons of mechs, and variations of those mechs each with defined roles to everybody plays these 3 mechs, this specific variant with this loadout cuz this setup is CLEARLY the best... Do you see what I am saying, Mechwarrior has this problem, ESO, World of Warships, I could go on, MANY IF NOT MOST GAMES have this problem. If you have one definitively "best" setup in a game, the vast majority of the player base is going to gravitate towards that one setup... This is why balance is so important, cuz you don't want one definitively "best" setup which means you aren't "gimping" yourself by playing something else.

silaf1496: The problem with ESO is simple ZOS is releasing too little new content. We used to get a big zone like Summerset, 2 new dungeons, and a small zone like Clockwork city each year. This year we got a small zone and the 2 dungeons... not enough to keep engagement.

leetrisk: i have few couple thousand hours on ESO, quit not long after subclassing, it sounded good on paper, and some of the builds where fun, but maining PVP after doing most pve content, was just terrible with no class identity, and having to dish out money for op skills that players have that u dont during scrying was also a bummer, quite literally was pay to win for a while, since everyone was running the same couple of skills from scrying, not to mention just how long/drawn out and bad the questing was for the new expansions, over 10 years, every earnable mount is still ugly af, or near impossible to earn for the avarage player, who isnt in a guild, in a discord, and previously has achievement/experience anyway, but hey, you have 1000 mounts from the store, which are all locked behind gambling mechanics, same goes with outfits and other appearances, sure the transmog/appearances do have alot/free things, but they have minimal value and can be collected ingame pretty easily, whilst every genuinley unique style etc is paid for
