Shopping CartAveSinistra: some of these ppl would win the lotto and still find reason to bitch.
LyonAndThePryde: I love how you used logic and reason to critically analyze each point! Most of the negative content I've seen is based on feelings and emotions with no citation of sources. Great video!
superepicstravaganza: I heard they are deleting all but 1 character on each account to save room on the servers, lowering total bank space to 10,, removing mounts from the game, chargeing us crowns just to log in, and moving the servers to China and you can't play unless you have a good social credit score. For non-subscribers obviously.
tyreseperrin223: Bro I’ve seen so much hate for the new 2h animations, some describe them as exaggerated cringy anime animations. Bro, those are REAL SWORD AND FENCING TECHNIQUES. I’ll admit, I’m not a mediaeval combat expert, but I just think the excess hate is unnecessary.
LefauFay: The main reason i quit this year is that I'm locked to the console and paying for Playstation and ESO every month is expensive. If I could at least play on PC under the same account. Why it's not like in FF14 where I don't need PS on PS5/4 It's stupid to pay for online multiplayer and ESO
kevincoughlin3455: People act like the battle pass will turn ESO into a pay to win game
terencewills3203: I SUBSCRIBED IMMEDIATELY after watching this Video.
winterrobot9605: The US is becoming more and more entitled and destructive in their recreational outrage. It's unfashionable to feel grateful about anything or demonstrate any kind of maturity in general.
marklongdon2435: At last someone that makes this clear. It is way cheaper if you don't pay for any premium or premium . In fact you could pay for 3 premiums and ESO which would work out at about the same price that you paid before.
terratheterribl: I completely agree with you. I'm excited for the update, I have about 8 outfit slots across my 17 characters, hoping that just gives me max outfits for all of them. Exciting times.
PxNxWxGxW: I left that abusive relationship. If there was a lawsuit for mental pain and suffering for years of playing....id be the first in line.
Kryptica-9: I think the misunderstanding here is the following: People are not thinking cosmetics ARE content. This approach they're promoting now unironically implies so. New "content" might be free but we certainly can't expect something at the level of Summerset, after layoffs and no human resources re-allocated or re-hired and within the span of mere three months, alongside with big promises of maintenances and reworks and watever. For free. They couldn't even do it with Solstice, and they had a whole year for that. Imagine how it will go with the same amount of people, but in every 3 months. (Or, Zenimax being Microslop's b*tch now, we can prepare for ai generated, "once in a lifetime" quality dailies :P)
Furthermore, when something is free in corporate terms you better be expecting some shortcomings in return. Which was, in many's view, the shift from thematic Chapter/DLC releases. Which at least gave this game a sort of identity, even if they were sometimes lacking or weak.
If the premise of the "once in a lifetime event" and its quests is anything to go by, then we can certainly conclude that the "seasonal stories" won't be that rich to say the least.
The problem is, we willingly lower our bar to "this premise" as content and cheer for it, while actually nothing is being offered, but comsetics, shop items and currencies swapping around. That is why people say "cosmetics are the new content now." With this model nothing differentiates this MMO from any other in the market.
Anathex420: I think alot of the misinformation and claims are coming from broken trust and overall doomer-ism. I just came from destiny which is basically almost in the same spot but worse (Bungie themselves are funneling destiny resources and devs into Marathon) and destiny's community is so bad that they are rooting for bungie's downfall and actively search for things to complain about. I actually am taking a break from destiny and am replaying Kingdom Hearts 1 and have been playing a lot of megabonk and Vital Shell, which has actually improved my moral about the game and bungie. ESO players might need to do the same. So seeing ZOS putting this much effort and being up front with why they were stretched so thin is a really REALLY good sign that the game will start improving. As a new player that joined this year, I am so excited for the changes and improvements ZOS is planning to put out. I really don't want games that I actually love to play and grind slowly whittle away into obscurity.
dinokstrun8948: Great video. I honestly think 2026 is the first time I've been somewhat excited about ESO since pre Blackwood days. The U49 changes only reinforced that excitement. If U49 is a indicator of what's to come then I'm genuinely excited for what's to come for the rest of 2026's updates. Also crazy is all the dev responses to the feedback on PTS, feels like a new company operating the game, breath of optimism is coming back.
susanottesen7879: My questions:
Crown crates stay? Does that mean the crowns we get from the stuff we extract in crates will still exist?
What happens with the furniture vault if you let your plus sub lapse? I have heard you get locked out completely from it, that you lose everything and that everything is ok and remains. ???
CCKaraoke: It's actually astounding that upper management signed off on so many pro-consumer changes .. including the fact they are adding entire expansions to the base game (which I do not think will end with the ones listed so far).
It reminds me a bit of Genshin Impact. Their version of the battle pass (which ESO seems to be following) is free and gives you farmable materials for playing the game. For an optional $10usd every 45 days, you can get extra rewards of the same variety as the free branch. Everything you need to beat almost everything is for free. Spending might only inch you a bit faster towards being able to beat that one optional superboss (and I'm not even sure ESO is going that far), or get you a cool new costume (ESO does tons of this lol). I think the new leadership at ESO understands that they can make oodles of cash from people choosing to buy optional stuff if the foundation of the game is strong.
ejhathaway97: My theory, eso 6 is on the horizon ( year or two away). Trial n dungeon team migrated to building for eso 6, keep fans occupied til launch, keep enough funding to keep the patient/eso online game alive. Testing is legit to prep for optimizing eso 6 in future, why not on an old game. Unlocking cosmetics/microtranactions from eso online risk free if eso 6 about to go down soon.
terencewills3203: Clarity Logic And Intelligent Discussion. Thanks Spopes
twofarg0ne763: The rumor mill is out of control. People whine about everything. $140 a YEAR for premium? If you can't afford it, perhaps you should stop playing games and find a better job. I used to spend hundreds of dollars a MONTH on Warhammer 40K and MTG cards.
Lasersandreddots-q1r: Game is trash
RMLArt: Ty for making this video, and clearing up any misinformation about these topics. I got back into the game around late August, because I stopped playing before they released the Necrom dlc. I’m very excited to see how the new update will go once it’s live :)
Aisriyth: These changes and primarily the golden bazaar and the return of FOMO items was a MASSIVE move to get me to resub. It was a brilliant call. I know a bunch of people that left in the 2018-2019 time frame that are looking to return!
jeremyw6246: I respect that opening monologue. Good turn around.
As i keep telling people, we gotta see it to judge, until then ill be apprehensive. Though im super stoked on some of shat im hearing about the night market from the pts.
ookie4179: Hoping the game gets better I stopped playing a few months ago. I just woke up one day and was like “this isn’t fun anymore “
tsukuyomisama001: People are either lazy to read or have comprehension problem. Their false accusation is insane and ridiculous.
DowneyDabs: I didn't know Hildibrand Manderville had a YouTube channel.
