BIG Changes Coming to ESO in 2026?

wildux8221: Promises , and then apologies ..Then new promises, and apologies again ...We know how it work .

vossboss220: Ill believe it when i see it. Thats all i got left in the tank. I dont want to come off as trolly or dismissive but i cant put my hope in promises apologies and hype. If it gets better so be it if not atleast my hopes werent high

NeonNokt: I hope the writing improves. The season of the Worm cult had a strong start where Prince Azah and Gabrielle had to step into leadership roles. There could have been drama about whether they were qualified to lead or not, but nothing happened. Imagine if there was internal conflict in the guilds where some in the fighter's guild wanted Skordo to lead and people from the mage's guild wanted Telenger to take over. We could have had proper character arcs for these characters where we see them grow and learn. Instead we got nothing, they all get along without any problems. Which is especially frustrating since phase 2 was so repetitive. The thing they did right was Darien. He got a proper character arc and I'm very excited to see what they do with him going forward. Spoilers below:

I think Umaril the unfeathered is inside Darien. The dialgoue seems to suggest that Meridia reshapes the souls of her champions, and Darien's memories hint at the battle Umaril had in the past. So Umaril has beef with Meridia, much like Darien and the Vestige (pretty sure the hooded lady that sends the Vestige to their benefactor, A.K.A. the Worm cult, is Meridia since she has the same voice and face as the Groundskeeper in Coldharbour). All three of us have been used as pawns by Meridia. So maybe there will be a story where Darien will have to choose who he'll listen to, Umaril or us. I'm also curious about what Umaril's (or whatever is inside Darien) goal is. It attacked the Aurorans, so it seems keen to stay away from Meridia. Perhaps biding its time until it can take over Darien. Maybe we'll fight Meridia and her armies? Would be cool to visit the colored rooms again...

lilsadeyes: i really hope they revert subclassing or at least heavily modify the way it works

mackax: Sub classing has killed the game

ЯрославСуський: This ship is sinking. It's literally going to the bottom. There's no point in arguing. The developers have burned all the bridges. The old players won't come back. Potentially new ones know how to read reviews.

Well, those who stay... New crown crates awaits you

Falk1987: I'm actually looking forward to seeing what they have planned.

azureashes-i8v: We’re never getting a complete zone again l.

nathanphillipconnors: I hope one of these changes is to let us hold 15 event tickets.

likes2playcatch: I've been skeptical this year an was disappointed by the writhing wall event, but can see that they are now actively trying to win back the player base.

I absolutely loved the whole Solstice zone story especially a few side quests that had me really engaged in the moment.

Finally i couldn't agree more with practically everything you have said, and thoroughly looking forward to the future of Eso.

Another great video Kaan Thank you.

TX_CHAINSAW: ZOS can’t balance the classes especially while subclassing exists. They’re gonna screw up the DK then go mess up all the other classes before they cycle back to the DK which will be at least a year later.

GGG would have all the changes to all the classes done in a month. Why would it take a multi-billion dollar company years to fix our classes?

VividOnlineYT: I'm looking forward to next year. I think the game is getting a tiny bit stale for me in that it's pretty much the same formula every year. This is a good time for change in my opinion. Still hoping they eventually make more non-combat related sets though. Give me a set that gives me 20% more resources from harvesting!

eb9782: PLEASE I BEG of you all to come try Guild Wars 2. The company has SO MUCH RESPECT for its player base and everyone is so happy all the time. I can't even comment on reading yet another one of these desperate "we hear you" letters from ZoS and giving it any thought whatsoever.

MrStopheles: First

Joseph-yq6hc: Great video Khan. As a long time veteran player I am cautiously optimistic of changes. I hope ESO leans into the strengths of this MMO. ESO has one of if not the best combat system of any MMO. It is not a simple tab target, it actively requires focusing on frames. This is especially apparent in PVP. Let the class refresh enhance this feature and allow effective variety. NB, Sorc, WW, etc. should all play and feel different with true strengths and weaknesses. Nerf one meta build subclassing (beatles, incap, surprise attack with Rally, null arca, monomyth on every single build).

Ponvyr: Ain't no way I'm re-subbing to plus unless I see actual results

Peter-p7u4k: I have over 6000 hours in ESO, but rarely play the last two years. Like ESVI I find it hard to care anymore.

eredthelion3171: I am "cautiously optimistic". Got burnt many times by ZOS before, but since Guild Summit (Spring 2025) communication - while not perfect - has been much better.

While sadly the other MMO (Blackbird) got shut down I am somewhat hopeful with the new leadership we finally see some much needed resources allocated to ESO as well.

georgejennings8743: I’ll only come back for a new zone. Fixing or changing systems does not count as new content. Time limited events are not as good as new, permanent additions to the game. Adding new quest lines in existing zones will not be a substitute for new zones for me.

ethar_miraz5672: Nothing will change till they sack Gina and Rich.

What about earlier contents? IA, Tribute, Scribing? Or thats it, they can go into the bin?

Change overland difficulty? At this point? Straight up failure. More than half of the playerbase cannot solo a dlc wb. They will be straight up effed. Back before 1T people in Craglorn actively formed groups to do the zone. They should not have ditched that. Friends will group up and do the new difficulty, but the rest will be left out.

emilslvik2004: Why not change subclassing? The way its implemented rn isnt very good in my eyes. Change it so we can add a sub class to our main class, for example: as a Nightblade add Blood mage or assasin as a sub class (2-3 skills and passives). Could do the same with Dragonknight (warrior or battlemage).

Sorry for shit english

jaccexx7565: Game is hollow in all areas. There is no hype and so many have quit after years of bs from ZoS.

I dont see any of them coming back to eso.

acloaker6254: I write this under every ESO hope video. Even if they get Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman on the dev team, it will take them 3 years to even slightly improve the game. Remember this. ESO is just in too deep of mediocrity. Game's simply hollow. After playing/re-playing higher caliber titles I genuinely cannot find it in myself to come back to ESO, not even all the memories and the journey of getting trifectas with my friendgroup does it.

tommylee9853: I would love bonus xp as a base line incentive for harder over world would make grinding other toons more interesting as well as a way to have veteran players help new players level alts

MightyKnight1234: MOUNTED COMBAT, SIEGE IN OVERLANDS, CLOAKS AND CAPES, OVERHAUL BASE GAME WALKING AND RUNNING ANIMATIONS, ADD NEW MELE COMBAT ANIMATIONS, DRAGON SHOUT SKILL LINE
