2 MASSIVE New Features CONFIRMED For The Elder Scrolls Online!!

jeremyw6246: To be fair, thats not exactly what they said. He said the were working on rhe tech to make cross play happen. I guess we're just both parsing words but the distinction is important. They didn't say crossplay was coming. They said they want cross play. I guess we'll see.

StarOfElyon: And they said they’d fix performance in Cyrodil too.

BrandonPringle-v6i: I played on xbox for 6 years and then I moved to pc I wish I could bring my collections I paid for to cross over

rvkhart: I hope they give a choice to players on overworld difficulty. Like porting option to load into either normal or vet overworld. I’m 90% of the time solo player and don’t want to have to team up with people all the time just to do story content

salinaember9527: overland difficulty can be seen in Craglorn. it's an ancient blueprint, sure, but that's my favorite overland zone. i 100% that zone solo and those group delves are a thing of beauty. i personally want an 'increase mobs' button.

gotoaloc7970: Now they need account transfer

adamuser8246: Cross play will be a must, when ES6 releases...It will help keep the population active.

williamgrunzweig571: Overland content is just fine the way it is. If you played since Beta, you'd know the only reason it's easier is due to leveling. It's really not that hard to understand. You could not solo a World Boss back in the earlier days. You could not solo Dolmens either. Only after you get better gear and move into the Vet tier class could you think about doing solo WB's (not all) and solo Dolmens. What makes your Overland feel weaker is your character growth. You are after all the "Champion" not some simple NPC. You've been gifted with skills that set you apart from the regular world. That is literally that core storyline of ESO. You are the "Vestige". If you want a more challenging Overland remove your growth and go at it like you were a level 15 character. Remove you CP skill upgrades and ware basic white/green gear without sets. Now enter a public dungeon or basic delve and pull a group of 5 to 6 enemies and you will see how fragile you really are. Also, you need to physically cap your own motor skill development. You know the muscle memory you developed by playing the game. I really don't see why this is an issue. Overland is just fine. Go play WoW with a fully geared out character and you will see that same thing happening. Come on. Take your leveled up character you have in WoW, put on basic gear, and then try to fight in the overworld area's. It will be harder without a tank to help you. Pull to many hostiles and you die. Put your leveled up gear and talents and don't you know it; the overland is easier. Imagine that.

Cross Counsel is a bad idea. Look if you want to play on a PlayStation fine, but don't demand or ask for developers to create more complex coding to include you in the larger population who uses PC/Mac. Get an okay PC/Mac and join in. Create a porting system where a copy of your Counsel character is duplicated and moved to the PC/Mac platform. Done.

DJSkrimps: Ps5 players will be disappointed in our PC prices

alucard6946: Before the “One Tamriel” update, overland use to be leveled zones with leveled enemies and I kinda wish that was still a thing,..like maybe if there was a mode where that’s turned on for vets after CP 160 might work but idk. It’ll definitely make having a companion more rewarding I feel.

millerrepin4452: There is an easy way to make overworld content more interesting, add more enemy types that utilize skills and roles players are familiar with (dps, healer, tank) By giving npcs skills and stats that fit their respective roles better. Healer enemy should have skills related to their faction. (druid enemies use warden heals, core faction enemies use templar heals, necromancer/cult enemies use necro heals, etc...) NPCs should use player skills especially since they are rebalanced anyway.

GRAVEGAMING: Both of these will be huge for the game. Will be awesome to have a hard content option for those that want it, and for everyone to finally be able to play together.

fatedcypress9222: Account transfer NEEDS to be included in cross platform. I haven’t been back to ESO in years for this exact reason. I don’t need EVERYTHING, but at least be able to transfer SOMETHING.

mikalfatale: Final Fantasy 14 has always had cross-play between PC and PlayStation, starting with the game's initial release in August 2013. That’s two years before ESO‘s release on consoles and one year before its release on pc.

neptunedirect129: Good to hear. Overland difficulty and "in your face effects" are two of my biggest gripes with the game. Glad to see one of them being adressed.

LordEcks: A good bit off on the cross-play pioneering there. Final Fantasy XI had PC and PS2 crossplay and was an MMO, back in 2002. They added Xbox to that list too later in like 2006 during the Treasures of Aht Urgan expansion.

flyingdutchman2996: As a newer player to ESO, I’ve found that encounters demanding coordinated group movement are not only challenging but deeply rewarding. One standout example is the boss fight involving the whirlpool mechanic—where everyone must press X to launch onto a ledge together. If even one person lags behind, they’re left to face multiple enemies alone, often resulting in death. That sense of urgency and reliance on group synergy creates a thrilling and memorable experience. In contrast, the stealth-based boss—where one player simply locates a glowing green object while the rest remain hidden—feels slow, disengaging, and ultimately hollow. There's little risk, little teamwork, and very little satisfaction. - - ESO does need more mechanics. But if they add mechanics that just make it longer and add no real fun value. I would almost prefer bigger health bars and damage than soul draining mechanics.

xwickedxdesignxlowegaming2108: I’m on ps5 and I can’t wait for the guilds to fight over guild stores

misterthiqu2449: Ok so when it comes to cross play, I think it's fine. All games should have cross play to some extent because gaming right? My only concern for ESO crossplay is from my experience coming from console to pc. Guild traders should NOT be in cross play because PC would absolutely CRASH consoles in game economy. The in game economy on pc is so so SO much more expensive than on console and should remain separate. A wax being less than 10k on console? It'll all be bought up amd sold for 20k within the day. Players should be able to play together bit the organic economy's each has developed should stay separate. Mailing is one thing but access to cross platform guild traders should be separate. Just my opinion bois

Navarill: They did not say it's coming. They did not say it's in development. They said they're laying groundwork in case it becomes feasible in the future. I never would have thought you (of all creators) would spread misinformation about ESO. Do better.

davidtrue4255: For overland, I would love to see a gameplay Mode, in which you can go through all the quests on a veteran mode, in which the gear you get is a perfected version.

MrNBondy: Please bring this to Switch 2, would be incredible for the community. Would have 10s of thousands of new players

klissattack: Theoretically, if they did the cross play. Theyd need to release the content all at the samw time right? Thatd be really nice

l-_-sage-_-l: My take is that while added goodies such as rewards or XP etc., would be cool with higher difficulty, I just want the higher difficulty option. If someone has the opinion that “what’s the point then?” That’s fine imo it’s not for them then. I have always thought the reward systems, while improved lately, has always been lacking in ESO, but that imo is a separate issue. Seems like a big separate update to overhaul overland rewards

C4MG1RL: For overland stuff:

-On one hand I 100% get people wanting things to be harder and am all for them getting that as an option

-I'm a casual player who cares more for the story and side stuff to have fun than a challenge. Hells, even a lot of Craglorn and trying to go back for older content sucks because I just can't complete those zones or need to wait long periods for someone to come along and help with a world boss.

It'd be nice for both sides to get options for it. Not sure how they'd do it without dividing players? Solo/group instanced zones? I dunno.
